My wife (no pics) is an ER nurse. All of the stats and situations you describe matched her hospital until the last couple of days. This last surge was the worst so far. The unvaccinated to vaccinated ratio of hospitalizations has hovered around 7:1 for the past couple of weeks.

But she is still against mandates and she’s pissed at Biden. She doesn’t believe the ends justify the means.

She’ll tell you that she’s for the vaccine because it does lessen the symptoms for most people to the point where they don’t require hospitalization, but she doesn’t think the government should be mandating them.

This thing was politicized by the Left and media from the get-go. They were anti vaccine until Trump was out and then did a 180. They laid the groundwork for hesitancy and now they blame it on Trump and his supporters, which is fabricated BS.

1) Are you running out of beds or running out of available beds? There is a difference.
2) You’re running out of nurses due to the hostile work environment you have created. This is a false narrative that has been well documented and the nursing shortage started pre-covid. Stop being disingenuous.

Yeah, reading that tells me you are not a doctor. Doctors know how to spell and can write using paragraphs.

Nice try orderly. By the way, ICUs are designed to run at 90% or higher capacity all the time, or else they lose money.

So why don't you 'professionals' prescribe treatments that have proven to be safe and effective and clear out all the beds being taken up by COVID patients?

Unprecedented you say? Desperate times call for desperate measures, but this 'professional community' seems to be in lock step with the CDC, FDA, etc with only treating these patients with the same treatments that have done nothing but proven ineffective at best.

What's the definition of insanity? Physicians like you need to open up your eyes, see the big picture, understand whats going on in this country and, most importantly, start thinking for yourself as a licensed medical doctor and start doing what's best for your patients, not what the grand poobahs of the holy church of scientism in DC dictate you to do.

You are part of the problem.

Can you please tell us what the long-term side effects of these gene therapy drugs are?

How many of these "unvaccinated" people taking up these hospital beds are obese or have comorbidities?

How many of these "unvaccinated" people have had Covid prior to their hospitalization?

What about my question... Why are 40% of healthcare workers not vaxed?

Do as I say, not as I do... Get your own people in line and then maybe you wouldn't have nurse shortages, which is leading to the "bed shortages"

In the major metropolitan area I live there were 3 ICU beds available yesterday. There are now more patients admitted to the hospital than at any other point since this started. And 95% of the patients admitted are unvaccinated. 50% of these people are under the age of 65. These patients stay twice as long on average as other people admitted to the hospital tying up a significant amount of resources. This is not up for debate. These are just facts. For the first time in my career I have been asked to delay cancer surgery. Its not just about the COVID patients, the downstream effects this has on other patients is devastating.

It's obvious you got your talking points. Absolutely no truth to what you're saying. Lying is now being taken to another level. Goebbels would be proud.

Some folks are indeed questioning the integrity of the medical community inasmuch as there was a distinct lack of objection to the premise that the "vaccine" was there to stop the spread. The "experts" let that falsity go on and on without speaking up and clarifying the situation. Now people question their intentions.

correct!

My wife asked me

Do you believe the vax is a benefit to you or not?

she said we have to humbly set aside all the politics and all the fuss on TV and just answer the question for yourself.

my answer is I don't really know...

I am 55, so no young chicken but i am not obese or unhealthy either

Sounds like the medical community still doesn't know how to fricking deal with a pandemic. How long before they figure it out there fella?

Also, Doc, can you explain to the crowd how natural immunity works? How many of the patients overflowing your hospital already had Covid? Do you have that data, if you don't, why not?

This is not meant to start an argument with people who are adamantly against the vaccine. I respect your right to choose. This is not political. This is for anyone who is on the fence about the vaccine. I am a physician. What I have read on here about the level of disdain for healthcare professionals is disheartening. I can promise you that most healthcare professionals are good people, doing there best in an unprecedented time and situation. In the major metropolitan area I live there were 3 ICU beds available yesterday. There are now more patients admitted to the hospital than at any other point since this started. We are literally running out of beds and nurses to care for the patients. The overflow is saturating and filling up our emergency departments. Again, this is not meant to start an argument with people who are adamantly against the vaccine. You do you. But for anyone on the fence, I would implore you to consider getting vaccinated. Downvote away.
