humans are fricked up so the best way to get through life is to put everything in God’s hands

Not that difficult …

That's not the point. I was responding to somebody saying that the decision must be a good one because it was in God's hands. Which is complete bullshite cuz it was made by a bunch of dudes with an absolute track record of clearly not being in God's hands

No different than last waste of space.

More social justice.
More climate change lunacy.
More open borders.

their track record tells me exactly that. Unless you want to tell me that John trying to likes it when the clergy middle little boys then cover it up and worse, PERPETUATE it

I’ve read up on him and he seems to be pretty in line with mainline Catholic teachings. Leans more liberal on stuff where he will have no control like immigration and climate change. Is conservative on things that he can control like how the church deals with homosexuality and trans issues, women in the clergy, etc.

If all that holds to form, I’m good with it. Either way, I’ll pray for him.

The most important thing any Christian can do is pray for Leo the XIV and the Catholic Church to promote a more conservative Christian doctrine.

Not all of the cardinals are involved in scandals. They voted Prevost in, we must have faith that the church will head in the right direction.

If the Pope is listening… men are the ones you need to call home again. Get them back on the train and let them lead.

You aren’t getting masculine men to come back without challenging them. Bishops like Strickland in Texas was the kind you need(before he was kicked out), but all we get is limp wristed bishops and priests. You won’t appeal to men with this feminine Catholicism. Young men need to have demands placed on them. I’ll tell you a story my father told me. He grew up in Southwest LA. The priest at his church paid him and his friends to help run his fishing lines. The priest would go hunting with other men in the community as well. Imagine these priests doing this today, lol. One thing to add. James Martin, the Jesuit priest who loves everything LGBTQ+ in the Church is close to Prevost. He couldn’t be happier.

The church is suffering many challenges at the moment and I don’t see where this pope has what it will take to resolve them, but we shall see in due time.

Prevost had some missteps as well concerning moving a pedophile priest near an elementary school and not telling anyone. Also had issues with sexual assault of 2 women that weren’t fully investigated.

Either there's nothing particularly special about Catholic leadership and there are no different than any other people I might bump into during life or they have some special position allowing them to lead the church.

They’re just people. There is nothing special about them. In fact, they are servants, or are supposed to be at least.

The pastor at my church is the best priest I’ve ever met. I wish he could be Pope. I’m sure the poli board would hate him though because he often peaches about loving one another. Even people who weren’t accidentally born in this country.

Like what, specifically? No sex outside of marriage? Don’t steal or murder?

Pretty sure the Church already teaches that stuff.

yes, and the Vatican cleared him regarding the stuff in Peru - there hadn’t been an explanation regarding the priest at the monastery by the school

RCC my whole. The communistic social justice tripe is a recent thing for the Church.

Respectfully, it doesn’t look like you know what communism is. The Church does not teach that the State should own everything, including the means of production.
