Fiddlesticks think you’re trying too hard to keep hope alive here. Why in Heaven’s name would Trump team want to do such a thing? For starters it would probably land him in a heaping pile of trouble with the court for such a move, particularly in light of the pretrial admonitions and gaggers that are in effect, to whatever extent that may be. But even regardless of those potential land mines, how could it possibly benefit his cause to take that action?
My take is this: the government knows its case(s) are pure shite, and they’re going to squeeze as much mileage they can out of leaks and lies and rumors and social/traditional media manipulation as they possibly can…..because they know they’re not going to get anything out of the actual in court cases against Trump.

That's my point. There really isn't an oversight mechanism if guys like Barr or Durham (when appointed) just choose not to do anything. Crazy arse cajunangelle has posted a bunch of stuff from CTH about how Obama put in a bunch of failsafes to where anything damaging to the intel agencies won't be made public.

This feels like them pissed off that Trumps people flipping on him didn't spark outrage.
I am not saying Meadows wasn't establishment tied but this story reeks. If it is accurate something big is going to come out of it like massive arrests, the FBI shutting down. But nothing ever does...
IIRC Trump said Meadows didn't like him at first. The only way this happened is if the FBI raided Meadows home at gunpoint quietly like they did Roger Stone and forced him to wear a wire.
Rod Rosenstein & McCabe come to mind. With the FBI still in control Meadows would be stupid to do anything but what he did. Go quiet.
