I voted for Gary Johnson because I hated trump. Not this year. These last 3 months have sold me on the need for trump and his twitter feed to fight back.

I understand your point, but your vote goes for naught. Do you think he has any chance to win? Get enough votes for the winner to adopt parts of his platform?
You are basically given two choices. Neither good which one you hate less. Relate to that hiker with the boulder on his arm. His choices were cut off his arm and MAYBE live or Number two, die. Would have been nice to have a crane to move the boulder but that’s hoping Gary Johnson wins

Personally my opinion is that voting in the general for a third party is useless as you are only making the worse of two choices (r or d) more likely.
The time to change the platform is aggressive campaigning and voting in the primary. See:Ron and rand Paul and Bernie.
Ron and rand certainly made it much more in vogue to be non interventionalist Within the Republican Party and Bernie shoved the dems way far left

If they look at what the democrats have shown themselves to be and vote for biden they are not "libertarians".
If you look at what Trump has shown himself to be and vote Trump, you aren't Republican.
Note - I will not vote for any Democrat in a Federal Election.

It's interesting to note that DC was only 13% for Reagan. Even in 1984 it was a hellhole of progressive filth.
DC has never even come close to voting for a GOP presidential candidate.
In 2016, that number was only 4.1%.

This obviously doesn't account for enthusiasm of the base, new voter turnout, and flipping voters from the opposite party.
Interesting thing a coworker brought up the other day: It's nearly impossible for Trump to lose voters unless there's an unusually low turnout (which is possible if the covid thing is still a big thing). But, how many people voted for Trump last time just to not vote for Hillary? And if they did, has Trump done enough to lose those people to Biden?
I just don't see that many people who voted for Trump in lieu of Hillary going over to Biden. He's a much weaker candidate than Hillary in my opinion and it is looking like he comes with more baggage than originally thought, which was Hillary's major downfall. Other than a low turnout, I don't see this even really being anything other than a blowout win for Trump.

As long as money keeps getting pumped in and the DOW looks pretty, he'll win. It appears that it will.

I considered Johnson up until I had to make the vote. Then I did the right thing and voted for Trump.

Well you vote Democrat in every election then because that’s the party that benefits the most from your vote. You should be delighted when the Democrats win since you help elect them. GOP is not perfect but it is closer to your philosophy than a socialist.

Gary Johnson voter in 2016 and will vote for Trump in 2020 in Louisiana.
Never thought Johnson would win and Louisiana was safe for Trump. Was hopeful Johnson could cross the 5% threshold to get the federal funding helping to pave the way to getting a 3rd party on the debate stage in future elections.
