but for some people i'd imagine there's a lot of upside ie young single person making good money looking for an expensive downtown condo type deal. they can't give those things away in denver now for example

He didn't back off on defending California's more restrictive gun laws either and just pointed out that if you are measuring gun related deaths against red-state land, California comes out more favorably......and pointed out the citizenry there is generally in support of where they are on the issue.
Before I get downvoted to hell, I am just telling you what Newsom's argument is.....not that I support Cali's gun laws.
He also had a lot interesting and fair points on the challenges trying to govern California as opposed to other states given California has a larger population than 21 other states combined.

Newsome claimed to grow up poor raised by a single mom which is true but later in podcast spoke of father who was a judge and a rabid outdoorsman and they traveled the world on fishing and hunting expeditions. Complete fraud

Shawn is no intellectual juggernaut. I don't know if he's not sharp enough to challenge his guests or he simply chooses not to, but he's had a couple on his show that I didn't think were worthy of anyone's time. And he let them have their say without questioning them. Thats not a good look. Whether or not Newsome gets some credibility from being on this podcast is debatable. I doubt SR carries that much weight.

The best way to combat this strategy is to release full statements after the debate detailing the flaws of Gavin's claims. Of course anyone who watches MSM would still miss it though.

Yeah. Johnson is from Louisiana. The most violent state in the country. I remember a few years back when people were celebrating a 40 year low on homicides in New Orleans... New orleans was still ranked #4 in the country, Baton Rouge #5 and Shreveport #7 for murders. :lol

LA-4: 30% black
CA-11: 5% black
The Oakland murder rate is 2-3x LA-4 even though the blacks are only 20%. Why didn't Gavin choose that district?

I didn't get past Shawn gifting Gavin a sweet new SIG, and Gavin immediately pretending to be pro-2A while presiding over one of the most anti-2A states in modern history.
Gavin is looking for myriad platforms to bolster his 2028 campaign aspirations. He learned from watching Trump 2024. I'm honestly disappointed that SR even had him on as a guest.
