Didn’t a major US-born black player (Gary Sheffield?) go on a very public rant some years back on how owners were bringing in Caribbean players because they were easier to control than US-born blacks?

The system was rigged for that to happen. And it still does because you can sign them at 16 years old.

Dude can believe what he wants and live his life with his head stuck in the sand or up his arse. But either way there is denying what their agenda and goals are, they clearly state it and make no attempts to hide it.

if the left actually believed in diversity they would not be so hellbent on crushing anyone whose beliefs does not align to theirs...

IMHO, part of what happened is that US-born blacks started routing themselves into the NBA and NFL as those leagues really started taking off.

Another part of what happened is that teams who tried to build heavily based on US-born blacks floundered horribly for a number of reasons. It is why the Braves were godawful in the late 80s only to turn it around in 1991 after Hank Aaron was moved out of a player recruitment and development spot.

Black Lives Matter is, to me, not a political issue but a simple statement of something I believe to be true. It's a movement. I want to work toward ending racial inequality. I want us to promote social justice, and it's really important that we amplify voices of marginalized groups and create pipelines to increase diversity in this industry in particular.

So he starts by saying it isn’t political and ends with political solutions.

He should show us his dedication to diversity and resign so a minority can take his position

And it definitely helps that teams can sign Latin players so young and totally control their development or sign fully developed Cuban defectors who have played high level pro ball at a young age.

There will NEVER be racial equality till all races have the same behavior patterns. This is the truth they refuse to face.

Promote diversity in MLB?

Whites make up 73% of the population yet only 63% of the MLB. Are they trying to say blacks are more athletic and should dominate MLB like they do the NBA and NFL? Sounds racist to me

Maybe black parents should promote baseball to their kids if they want more blacks playing

This statement right here is an example of gaslighting.
I have no idea what “gaslighting” means but the comment you were referencing is completely false. BLM is 100% political.

Gaslighting is blatant lying to someone in an attempt to make them believe they are crazy.

Anyone that doesn’t realize the the BLM organization intentionally developed the slogan to force association with their organization politically is an idiot.
