What would that mean in this context? How would you know if they are managing the money properly or not?
Just read an article on this morning's BR Business Report criticizing DOTD for having done nothing on the announced project to widen I-10 in EBR in the 15 months since they announced the project.
Prople right or wrong have little faith in DOTD because we see nothing but problems, delays and nothing more from their dept.

Have you been in hibernation?
EBR just passed a Billion dollar plus plan backed by a sales tax increase to fix local, state and federal roads in our parish. We already had a tax in place for the same things and just passed a new one.

Can someone put a 10,000 ft view of the breakdown of where this states spends all of its money?

PASS SOMETHING?? Are you serious? FUKC those no good m’fers! With a dried cactus!
How many safeguards should they have? No matter what is put in place relative to safeguards those useless assholes will rob Peter to pay Paul at some point. They’re lying crooks and edwards is the ring leader.
You give those bastards an in and they want/take a mile. Those crooks need to learn to budget properly and stop with all of their pork barrel spending. They can ALL kiss my arse with their taxes. And I’m talking about the liberals and the rino’s.
We pay ENOUGH taxes in this banana republic state thanks to the current crooks and the crooks of years past. FUKC ALL OF THOSE NO GOOD TAX AND SPEND BASTARDS!!

i could support an increase, but doubling? Gonna need a lot more information and gonna need a lot of assurances and protections to make sure it's not pissed away

Right on, frick em. I contacted my rep to make my opinion known. I also suggested he propose a bill to lower the current gas tax.

Might as well blame Saban for this. Saban broke their hearts by leaving LSU, and he has crushed their souls with the 8 game streak.

Dewine and the republican legislature are going to increase Ohio’s gas tax on top of what will be a federal gas tax increase. Why even vote republican? What a shirtshow.

This is exactly what you suckers said the last time LA passed a tax for roads and bridges. And just like last time, the state will divert existing funds to pet projects, and get the suckers to support another tax down the road. We have to do something, or nothing will get built. Facts and stuff.

I wonder how many of these companies are in the road construction business in som shape or form. Sounds awfully similar to how the local road construction companies paid lots of money in advertising for the tax that just got pushed down the throats for EBR residents. Typical dem strategy though. Tax and spend. Get the corrupt contractors to back it and push for it. frick this shithole state.

They also include sales tax. The recent Edwards sales tax increase would no longer be allowed to expire, it would continue past its expiration date and be rededicated to roads and bridges.

12 billion went to medical vendors. The total budget is 33 billion. Apparently close to half the budget goes to the Department of Hospitals, and yet it still cost me a small fortune to have tests done at the doctors office

Things cost money folks. If you want nice things, pay for it. Otherwise stfu
Look at the current rate of taxes in both LA and especially BR. We are being taxed left and right. A new tax is constantly popping up that an old tax should have already covered the cost. People are lashing out more at the politicians crookedness or incompetence. So why don’t you stfu?

Erich Ponti, the President of the Louisiana Asphalt Pavers Association (and former District 69 Republican House member) is all in favor of this tax passing. I wonder why?

Come join the Public Facebook Page “Block the Mobile Bayway Toll” is just about the toll they are forcing on us but the tolls being forced on everyone. Our brand is NO Toll. Period. It was started by Alabama State Auditor, Jim Zeigler that states there is Federal funding available for the Mobile Bayway Bridge without a toll. We pay our taxes and then states want tolls. Just say NO! We are 13,000+ strong and growing. We look forward to seeing you.
