We do not (nor will we ever) control any house seats in MSP, Portland, Los Angeles, Richmond, San Fran, Philly, Detroit, Milwaukee, etc.
Exactly why you don’t want them to have more seats, genius

None of this applies to a federal-only duty/operation. You're conflating another state-federal LEO scenario

Why are you discussing state/local resources when we're discussing federal resources?

What Winnie is arguing, and I have before, is if the goal is maximizing deportations, the criteria should be based on (1) population of illegals and (2) cooperation from local/state authorities.

packs the House seats in those lawless areas and gives the leftists control of the country.
But are they deporting enough to change that?

by that logic we should have concentrated our desegregation efforts on states that had integrated schools with very low black populations.
you're a genuine idiot aren't you.

quote:CA ~8% of their population loss in 2025 was due to deportations (voluntary or forcible), NY ~5% of their population loss in 2025 was due to deportations (voluntary or forcible), IL ~9% of their population loss in 2025 was due to deportations (voluntary or forcible) [IL did have a net gain in 2025 due to 44k visa workers coming in]. The issue for these states moving forward is stricter borders and more stringent visa allocation. With these states already losing taxpayers to TX, FL, and TN the more stringent immigration policies are anticipated to exaggerate their population loss over the next few years.
No. What % of the population exodus from those states is from illegals being deported.

Lots of words when you could’ve just said “I don’t understand how the house allocates seats”

No. I'm discussing federal-only duties (immigration) and the best strategies.
Local cooperation is a factor in the analysis of the strategy, which isn't discussing allocation of state/local resources. It's an easy distinction.
He's discussing states not enforcing laws, which is a separate thing entirely. States don't enforce immigration laws. They can cooperate with federal agencies enforcing immigration laws, which is completely different.

You referenced the 2030 census change. The % will be the losses following the last census in 2020, not just 2025.

For instance, I'm still not sure why Trump decided a surge in MN was smart on the back of reporting about ethnic Somali citizens and green card holders engaging in fraud. I'm curious about the criteria/logic there, myself.
yeah the vast majority of Somalis are legals, either naturalized or part of re-settlement programs from the 90s to today
ICE is in MN focusing on sweeping up criminal aliens, mostly hispanics
the optics look bad but Somalis and ICE Ops are two separate things

Hmmmm.... it exposes the true level of anti-American and disrespect for law and order..... ???
Just spit balling here. (Sarcasm)

Then their kids will likely live in blue states as well and won't swing close states like GA and Florida in future elections.
They'll just get additional reps in Congress and more electoral votes for the blue state whose population gets boosted by millions of illegals.
And your federal tax dollars can keep paying to support them

What good does working to deport illegals in Portland, OR or Minneapolis, MN do for our beautiful populist movement?
Deportation of non-status aliens is the ordinary course of affairs and should be applied nationwide. There is no valid argument against this.
That is not the issue with what this administration is doing.
The administration is targeting communities and harassing the entire communities with armed, masked thugs who are randomly stopping and detaining people on the street. None of the shock troop shite has any place in America.
We should be hiring more hearing officers to adjudicate asylum claims. That was always the loophole. Trump has FEWER hearing officers now than Biden had. Just move the backlog of hearings and deport the ones who never had valid claims.
For immigrants on temporary status who get arrested for another crime, immigration law says that their temporary status can be revoked. Do that if you want and initiate deportation hearings.
None of this requires roving gangs of thugs with masks and guns harassing communities where democrats have an electoral majority. This entire adventure, along with the beatings and shootings and that searching schools, etc, etc, is completely unnecessary.

You face rabid opposition, the states are out of reach anyhow, and the political bleauxback is definitely not worth it. We risk fumbling the bag nationally to deport 10,000 illegals in states that we will never win.
The end game of the Dems is to pack blue states and districts. Count all of them on the 2030 census and demand they be counted for representation. It has been estimated that the Dems have enough illegals in country for 12-20 more congressional districts… guess how they will vote even if they are not allowed to vote.
They do not even have to vote for this strategy to work. Think about that.
