In reality it's just a workaround the raising of the minimum wage which allows for more fluid investment in business growth

I work. Where's my tax cut?

What I oppose are the carve-outs. I prefer tax relief across the board.

Ever heard of mandatory overtime? It's a real thing. Last Fall during a work stoppage/strike I was putting in 70-80 hours a week and had to work 2-3 all-nighters. If it weren't mandatory I'd never work OT because of the taxes.

Haven't they already said that this will add 4T to deficit and they are raising the debt ceiling by 4T as well?

This is not accurate in many situations.

Useless when you don't pass an actual budget.

The tax breaks are fine but the spending is still ridiculously out of control.

There isn't some special overtime rate at the federal level, correct?

Its taxed as income, IIRC. I'm confused why it shouldn't continue to be taxed as income.

But as usual, undeserving people want a tax break over others because they whine

Undeserving? You think people that work overtime and actually put in the hours are undeserving?

Overtime pay is taxed at a higher rate than normal income tax. You have an enormous portion of the population, mostly made up of democrats, THAT DO NOT frickING WORK AT ALL but get a government handout monthly and you want to grandstand about people that work overtime are undeserving.

The only people that are underserving are the people that enslave themselves to the government tit (not all democrats are enslaved, but ALL enslaved are for sure democrats), and they are undeserving of voting in our elections. That privilege should be revoked.

Because income taxation is fricking theft. Period.

My understanding is that they just passed the bill to allocate the money. The actual bill stating all the specifics hasn't been written yet.

It's telling, isn't it? This is how the left looks at people....deplorables.

I've worked in places where it isn't optional, for instance, a factory with an assembly line that ran on weekends and holidays to meet production. Attendance was mandatory, yet there was no increase in PTO or any other fringe in proportion to the extra time working, for instance, you still had to pay the same monthly rate on health insurance.

Some people can't turn it down.

And just like that Trump got every democrat to oppose the progressive tax system.

None of this is written in the bill that I’ve seen. That will require separate legislation to become law. They did raise the debt ceiling by $4T dollars though.

You’re welcome to read the bill here:

It's almost not fair to be a senator in these cases. The only reason half the republicans who voted for it did is because they know it's DOA in the senate. If there was a chance the senate would pass it, it wouldn't have even come to the floor in the house.
