I’m sure the shooter had planned out his location and the target area beforehand. Practiced at that distance on the range and already sighted in.

I'm exceptional.

That shot is not as easy as it sounds. First off he's just climbed on that roof so he's probably huffing and puffing getting there as fast as possible from his car. So it's already a harder shot. But the part that makes it ten times that is the adrenaline from the "Buck Fever" moment trying to take that shot and not miss.

I personally think he probably had been doing a bunch of shooting lately and felt like he should and could take the head shot to avoid bullet resistant suit. Had he gone center mass this would have ended differently.

What?

Basic training soldiers that cant hit a pop up at 150m during qual in the Army would be recycled. Were talking with Iron Sights....

The closest pop up is at 50m and goes the furthest is at 300m (985')

LOL

My son has killed 20+ with his 308 AR. I have several 300BO that I kill deer with in the regular.

If you don’t know shite about guns you should probably not post about them.

Back when I shot regularly, I could put shots from my ironsight 1944 German Mouser using 1950’s Yugoslavian rounds in the inner clear circle of CD’s pretty regularly.

I wasn’t “well trained” but I did shoot fairly often.

Some do. 5.56 is fine for SE whitetail if you wait for a good shot.

No more so than a average Veteran or deer hunter. That isn't a crazy distance. a normal person with a little practice can do that.

Pretty damn good actually. And that’s hitting a softball size spot on a deer at these distances in oftentimes wide open, long distances south and west Texas. All this guy really needed to aim for was the entire top half of the body, dead center axis.

Shooting a former president and probably the most well known figure in the world, and knowing you are probably gonna die seconds later makes this a much tougher shot regardless of if you can hit a target or a deer.

I’ve got a $2k thermal scope on an AR to shoot hogs. It’s an electronic scope that you can shoot a tick of a cows arse at 100 yards. Just admit you are a retard and move on.
