You shouldn’t be able to buy a redbull with my tax dollars end of story. I don’t care if you stay fat or get skinny.

Its Different when moochelles school lunch program forces shitty food on kids

The Right missed a great opportunity with Michelle’s school lunch program.

“Listen folks, FLOTUS was well meaning and we support that. But this is what happens when government tries to fix a problem. What we wanted was an appetizing, nutritious meal. What we ended up with was a piece of bologna and some lettuce. Fed Gov shouldn’t be involved in what your kids eat”.

We are going to get the people that are ill eagles off of SNAP. They should have never been allowed to dig in our pockets.

Then, we are going to allow people to work 20 hours a week to get our tax dollars. This will eliminate the terminally lazy.

SNAP is fine but it should just cover the bare essentials and should have a time limit on how long you can receive it

The problem is many of those who receive it see it as a right and how dare you take that away from me and make me get a job

The left disagrees with you when they use phrases like “food deserts” to describe lack of the same nutritional choices in poorer areas.

If the SNAP recipients were truly hungry, they would go to work and make money to buy food.

Unfortunately, there is a whole culture in the US who have been conditioned for several generations to have kids they can't afford and live off the government tit.

We have the fattest "poor" people in the world.

Once people feel entitled, its virtually impossible to claw back.

Poor people will continue to make shitty life choices as long as the govt allows them to do so. I'm fine with it as long as we dont keep saving them from thesmeslves.

It's really misguided to think limiting the types of food you can purchase with SNAP is somehow going to curb the health crisis in America.

Who said that was the reason for the change?

quote:

That's a cultural issue and a large majority of the population that just either has no clue about nutrition, staying active, and enjoying in moderation. or they simply just dont care.

It is a cultural issue. A large majority of the population paying for the food has no clue why they should have to be responsible for providing junk food for another large segment of the population while also being forced to pay for their medical care once they develop Metabolic Syndrome. Or they simply just don't care.

quote:

So if you dont make enough money to cover food expenses, get fricked you eat what the government tells you to eat.

Nope. Eat whatever you want to eat. But we're only going to provide you with essential food items at other people's expense.

quote:

However if you make enough money to cover food expenses then by all means eat whatever the frick you want.

That's pretty much how it works in America, isn't it? For everyone. Assuming something is legal, if you can afford to do it, you can choose to do it. If you can't, then it's not an option for you.

quote:

Such a bizarre mentality.

It is? So I should adopt the mentality that I shouldn't be limited to the choices that I can afford to provide for myself and if I decide that I want something more than that, I should be able to compel you to fund my wants?

I currently drive a Kia, but I would prefer a Mercedes. When should I expect your check to cover the difference?

quote:

As if someone's food choices are somehow a direct correlation to the money they make.

And this is where you went too far. This is how I am sure beyond a shadow of any possible doubt that you are trolling.

It's a pretty decent troll. You'll get lots of angry responses.

If you recieve the money, you follow rules, period

Logic will teach you that if you can't buy bad shite, you will be buying better sgit for your kids.

So yes, long term, that will lead to better nourished children

They can still buy candy and soda indirectly with SNAP. Just sell your snap to a guy who likes healthy food for 1/2 the price of the SNAP amount. Then use the cash to buy junk food. A lot of people are doing the same thing to buy illegal drugs buy selling their SNAPs.
They should just get rid of SNAP. Hunger is a great motivator to get a job and stop having kids without a husband.

But why do they have corporate owners? Because we've given them the power to impact their corporate owners' bottom line. Take away that power and the corporations are no more interested in handing them money than they are handing you money. They don't do that, right? They sure don't hand me any.

Define those words and you have your answer, genius.

Any form of welfare should be minimally sustaining for the recipient. We’ve allowed ourselves to buy into this “dignity” shite where welfare queens get to eat crab legs and live in the Pacific Palisades on my nickel.

Welfare should be somewhat painful and shameful. Or else it ceases to be transitional and become a default lifestyle.

People are free to be fricking barrel asses all they want. That being said, they can do it on their own dime. You’re not supposed to feel comfortable taking a govt handout.

Yeah man... let's keep subsidizing soda manufacturers $10 billion a year while also paying the medical bills from the resulting medical issues from lazy fricks drinking free Mountain Dew 2 liters everyday.
