Trumps new EO means if you burn an American flag you better make sure the act doesn’t break other laws or you will be prosecuted to the fulllest extent of the law.

So it's completely superfluous and unnecessary?

I mean if you think about the way it will be reported, not really. All the liberals will believe that Orange Hitler will lock you up for it, and it will probably prevent at least some from burning flags.

Like I said earlier, it's red meat for the base and pretty much harmless. Other than possibly cultivating a climate that makes any future action easier for the public to digest and more difficult for critics to condemn.

It's not freedom of speech.

And nothing anyone says will ever convince me otherwise.

No, they didn’t. Nor would they care if they did. Know what I’m saying? That’s TDS for ya.

ETA….They must have been listening to and impressed with CNN’s description of it as “an Executive Order criminalizing flag burning,” full stop.

I’ve never considered destruction of property or setting a fire constitutionally protected activity. I understand others may disagree.

Setting fire to something is not speech.
Wearing a confederate flag shirt isn't speech, either

This is a rabbit hole that only ends with both sides limiting free speech in ways they like, when in power.

Massie may be correct but he comes across as "politically" correct on flag burning.

He is so TDS that he swings at every pitch and doesn't know when to take a pitch.

Putting this way…

If you can’t express your thoughts, views or opinions without setting fire to a symbol of the whole of the United States, for a momentary perceived slight, then you’ve got no legitimate point.

I believe in my heart that firebombing the offices of leading Democratic Party leadership is a Protected Free Speech Exercise of my First Amendment Rights under the US Constitution AND THE Eternal Natural Law of the Universe, promulgated by Almighty God Yahweh.

It may be covered by the First Amendment but that doesn't mean that patriots won't kick your arse if you burn it.

Right on brand for Thomas Massie and the other malcontents who prop him up as some sort of libertarian champion of the Constitution. It’s going to be very gratifying to see Massie go down in flames next year.

So, I am understanding your post to mean that supporting the FA is somehow a bad thing? That's hard to fathom.
