Legally immigrated in the mid 80s. Obtained US citizenship about a decade ago. He advocates for a high voltage border fence and for a legally backed, open hunting season on any illegals that make it past the barrier. He's now a dual citizen, resides in Cancun and works in US. He an outlier or is this the general sentiment of other legal immigrants?
There was a poll a few weeks ago that showed over 50% of Hispanic Americans wanted a wall....., it's a little surprising it was that high and I'm sure the Dims shite themselves.

I know a lot here on work visas doing it the right way. They have similar feelings. They work jobs that illegals compete for.

He worked and accomplished what other people are stealing. Across the board whether it be conservative and liberal or shop owner and thief. The greater majority has respect for those that make their own, rather than stealing from someone else.

Legal immigrants overwhelmingly disfavor illegal immigration.
It is one of life's truisms, people who obey they law do not respect lawbreakers.

If you want to meet the real Hispanics radicals on illegal immigration, speak to a Dominican who legally emigrated....the ones I meet hate it because they had to jump through hoops......Also Argentinians....of course you can't tell the difference between an Argentinian and some white guy from the suburbs

This
I am currently living on a 5000+ acre ranch in Southern Texas, while working a contract. The rancher I am renting from, told me to make sure I carry while there. He said from time to time illegals will come onto his ranch. He said the Mexicans are not the issue, they are just looking for work. He said the Salvadorans, Hondurans and Nicaraguans etc. are the mean ones looking for trouble and will find it. So be prepared to defend self.

This man does not have to go back. He can stay

It's amusing how many people think your story is true.

I would say that any immigrant that went about it the right way. Waited their turn, paid the required money, and assimilated is pissed at these people cheating their way in.
I know plenty of naturalized citizens who are happy for people from their homeland to get here any way they can. They think our immigration laws suck. Most of these naturalized citizens I know came here from South Korea, and some of them are even harboring illegal immigrants in their homes.
But its all just anecdotal evidence. I don't know what most legal immigrants think.

Why would I have made this story up?
Posted on 2/14/19 at 12:09 pm to Captain Crackysack
I wouldn't even begin to know how to answer that question. I don't know you or what motivates you.
You tell me.
You tell me.
Posted on 2/14/19 at 12:14 pm to DisplacedBuckeye
Well it's a true story so idk what to tell you.
Posted on 2/14/19 at 12:15 pm to Captain Crackysack
OK. I don't believe you. No big deal.

I don't know about general sentiment, but it is around my family. My grandparents came to the US from Cuba to escape Castro...my grandpa would probably close his business down to help build the wall if asked.

My cleaning lady is a Mexican national who came over legally and obtained citizenship 3 years ago. She is opposed to illegal immigration. They should wait in line like she did.
My DIL is a Mexican national who is not a US citizen and has no plans to be. She is opposed to illegal immigration but believes the legal path to the US should be more open to highly qualified Mexican professionals. This is the merit based idea Trump has talked about.

Yeah, they all feel that way. Every last one of them, you dummy. Even if this story wasn't made up you can't possibly ask a question this dumb.

This legal immigrant (late 70s, obtained citizenship with parents in the mid 80s) agrees with your co-worker, although I don't agree with the dual citizenship crap. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Actually, I advocate for a very tall concrete barrier with electrified enhancements.

I also work with an Italian immigrant who is getting his citizenship in a few days and a Nigerian resident alien who is still early along in the process of obtaining his citizenship. What part of my story, exactly, do you think I made up?

Probably the parts that destroy the liberal narrative he sees on the news.
