If Trump had been assassinated, I'm confident DeSantis or Vance or even a guy like Cruz would have still trounced Kamala once Biden was exposed.

I just read Tapper's book "Original Sin". (from the library, I wouldn't buy it, but I think it should be mandatory reading for all voters) It takes the befuddled President into the last year. All the things he couldn't (not wouldn't, couldn't) do nor could the Politburo get him up for even short events. After a while, no one could figure out how his State of the Union was so good, (maybe adrenalin?) but how terrible his demeanor and presentations became.
I picked the book up from the library to read a couple of chapters and I was hooked on the narrative. Even with a life, I finished the read less than 36 hours later. There are parts of the horror that are unforgettable.

Just for the record, I know what you're saying but the sniper only "missed" by about 4mm because Trump turned his head literally right as the dumbass was pulling the trigger.
If Trump had been successfully shot and killed, America would have been thrown immediately into civil war. I am 100% certain of this.
We wouldn't have made it to the election. Whether by divine intervention or dumb luck or anywhere in between, one small head movement by Trump at the exact right time, spared America from total collapse.

I think you're wrong on this because:
Bush was a war monger, Trump is bringing peace to the Middle East, or at least trying harder than any previous POTUS.
He's securing the border and deporting the illegal voters that Biden and the dims imported and doing other things to secure honest elections including cutting USAID which is just a money laundering scheme for their party, so while the commies may gain some footholds in blue cities, I don't see without a radical change in their agenda how the dimocrats will have much relevance after this with normal Americans.
