I visited Caracas in 1987. It's awesome, and could be a tourist destination...especially after the cartels and Hezbollah are run off of Margarita Island.

This is where I’m at as well. Principles are great but results are what matter most. I think principles are more often used as cover for non action.

Just one on that fig's list - Chile. Chile was much better off long-term with Allende deposed than it would have been under Marxist rule.
Let's just hope Venezuela gets there without their version of Pinochet.

I think my new policy on interventionalism is going to be just like the left old policy on abortion:
Safe, legal, and rare
Safe, legal, and rare

Its a fair point to bring up, but a Christian nation in our hemisphere is likely to differ significantly from a Muslim nation on the other side of the globe.

What the heck? I thought we were cool.

But I thought we were also talking about what happens next and where this leads
Idk about you, but I'm not a fortune teller nor have a crystal ball. We still have 3 quarters to play. Hard to grade it before it happens.
I think Trump will run it like a business & be successful if the people of Venezuela get behind his efforts. A lot of unknowns & hurdles. It won't be easy.

I completely concur
I was "against" the iran bombing but I immediately recognized the reaction to it was completely absurd

Was that ever confirmed? If it was Maduro had it coming and I might argue that he got off easily compared to what could’ve happened.

The reason that I'm an isolationist is because of the disasters that I've read about as a kid (Bay of Pigs, Vietnam) and seen firsthand as an adult (Bush Sr, Clinton, Bush Jr, Obama, Biden).
Trump proves just how bad our leadership was in those events more than anything.
Our military when used to accomplish a goal that doesn’t involve endless war to line pockets can be quick, deadly, and effective.

Trump is against forever wars. They were by design.
Trump has shown since his first term he’s willing to engage in quick military action.
Anyone saying they didn’t vote for this just wasn’t paying attention.

If you asked me ahead of time "should we strike Iran's nuclear fscilities" or "should we physically remove Nicholas Maduro from power in a daring 3AM military raid" I'd have said "HELL NO" to both.
But you cannot argue with these results right now. Every honest person who wants the best for America should be very proud of this operation and how flawlessly it was carried out. We should be excited for the positive things that will come from this bold action.
If your actions are based in righteousness and with prudent planning the odds of succeeding are greatly enhanced.

Most of the die hard Trump supporters oppose any and all foreign aid
That is because most, if not all foreign aid ends up everywhere except where it was intednded to go and used for everything except what it was intended to be used for. If there were real checks and balances (cut out all non profit orgs as they are almost all dirty) that would guarantee the funds not misappropriated, I think many people would be ok with that, but we would have to have a return on the investment that we as taxpayers can see. That would start with all these asylum seekers/illegals being returned to their own country and repayment through oil/natrural resources for what taxpayers shelled out for them all of these years. Would be hard to quantify but that's what negotiations are for

Why are you looking for my attention?
Someone else used to say stupid shite like you just did.
So many coincidences. Very strange.
That same person, alleged kid diddler, also often called out for my attention. He was too mentally weak to resist.
Weird.
