Families received payments from their own government for strapping bombs on their own children during the "occupation."

This is they type of cockroach these "Free Palestine" people support. frick them.

Its astounding the number of Social Justice Warriors who have popped up on this board lately.

I never realized that many socially conscious people were on this board. "Free Palestine" has become their favorite it seems, next to "Chinese Slave Labor."

Do you even Greta Thunberg, man?

Just yesterday, she made it all about herself by going public about being tortured with rations that aren't non-GMO while telling us she doesn't want to make it all about herself.

Why is Israel held to a different standard?

Everyone is held to a different standard today, but, your comparison isn't even apt.

What Israel is doing is different than Hamburg, Dresden, etc. Did we occupy those areas and make them part of America after the war? Or Germany, as a whole, to leave them as a driftless population?

and never allowed to achieve victory

How you define that victory is likely the problem.

And those rules are universal, I reckon. One thing that should be understood by now is a small guerilla insurgency on its own turf is not something you can eliminate without...well, genocide.

*ETA: and I am nowhere near a pro-Palestine guy or a guy who thinks "Palestine" ever really existed (at least since Rome), and think Israel is right to respond to events like 10/7. However, there is a line in that response where it goes too far and becomes genocide.

They certainly were celebrating when they were originally taken.

The left calls it genocide to try and portray the Jews as evil. That only they are responsible for the war.
It checks out except for the fact… THAT HAMAS IS KILLING AND TORTURING JEWS. It goes both ways.

We're not crazy far apart. I think the limit is victory. Victory is when Hamas surrenders, gives up power, a provisional government signs a permanent peace and cooperation agreement with Israel, Saudi funds a rebuilding effort and the new Palestinian leadership is held to their agreement.

If we do all of that and in 5, 10 years the equivalent of Hamas gets back in power and they fire it all up again, I will shed no tears for the lost "Palestinian" people.

Is that unreasonable?

Nice effort. But you’re lying. You’re making a moral argument about the horrible nature of the conflict. Not your tax dollar’s involvement.

Just admit that you’re a stooge for whatever is the current thing and you’ll repeat the lines you’re told.

my post history re: israel is almost exclusively about them vetting our politicians/citizens and having outsized influence in our country so that we fund their lil squabbles but nice try.

i know it's easier to dismiss people's arguments if you paint them as whiny college freshman sjw-types but that's not me

The Gaza strip exists because Israel tried to make peace. The Palestinians response was to make Gaza a terrorist base.

Israel needs to finish the job and completely take over governance of Gaza. If the don't accomplish that task we will be right back here in 5, 10, 20 years.

Politics makes strange bedfellows.

Wouldn’t be the first time in history that different agendas converged in pursuit of a common cause.
