In terms of false propaganda, yesterday I posted about a viral clip purported to show "missiles raining down on Israel" which duped one of our illustrious posters here. It is actually a clip of a successful Iron Dome deployment destroying several incoming missiles, but run in reverse. It's easy to be taken by such nonsense.

This implies that Iranian leadership is willing to bring about the annihilation of their country and all of its people. That would require their leadership to be nearly 100% zealots. The willingness to at least try to negotiate makes that seem unlikely.
They are indeed saber-rattlers but that does not mean they are insane. Their threats and hatred have been a constant for decades. The idea that they have a nuclear weapon is nullified by the fact that Israel has attacked with impunity. Iran may have wanted one to have that capability also. Nuclear weapons are not just a deterrent but also a license to be a bad actor with almost no serious checks.
