I did take calculus back in the day (yes, schools in Mississippi do offer calculus) but that was years ago so all of these mathematical equations are too much for me.

For a sec I couldn't get it to post because apparently math symbols when put together aren't allowed.
PT is against math.

Yes he is an American. BUT, he is the first president who holds a moral relativist view of the world.
Not even close.
Woodrow Wilson certainly did and he may not have been the first. There have been plenty in between.

They're not really.
There's some basic rules that run through all societies (almost). The fact that there are exceptions doesn't invalidate the objectivity of the moral code. It just shows some cultures suck.
Don't take an innocent life.
You have a duty to your parents and elders.
You have a duty to raise your children.
Don't commit adultery.
Don't steal.
Don't lie.
Those are the basics. You could add a couple ideas and/or categories. But that's the basic idea.
Also: A relativist has no real basis for judging someone else's morals as incorrect.

Moral relativism: the belief that morality is relative to the society where it exists and that its criticism and evaluation are irrelevant
A moral relativist would say that we cannot judge the morals of the middle east.

quote:Let me put it another way: Those presidents were willing to call out other cultures, especially Teddy. Moral relativists do not judge cultures.
How is the above not relativism?

Relativism cannot say one culture is better than another. Relativism rejects American exceptionalism. Relativism says there's no way to judge that the US is better than Somalia. They're just different.
Most relativists don't like to be reminded of this as it demonstrates the intellectual bankruptcy of the doctrine. But it is the doctrine of relativism taken to its logical end.

I think there are a few that are absolute, but very few and very specific.
I'm guessing most cultures would agree it's wrong to kill an innocent in order to steal his XBox.

Either he was born in Kenya and is lying or he was born in Hawaii and broke the law by using a " foreign " birth to get preferential treatment from colleges.
HE IS A POS.
Those that voted this fool in a 2nd time are also crapos.

I would like to discuss my opinions of moral relativism further, but I'm gonna need to get sleep. Gotta be at work for 530.

One might even say that the manner in which the execution of prisoners in Iraq is celebrated, recorded, and presented to the world is nothing more than primitive human sacrifice.

Not fully sure about birth, but his actions are clearly harming this country.

As a Christian nation we should believe that all peoples are equal and loved by God and worth of Christ's salvation. So we are all equally as good with cultures that are all worthy of God's love.

Obama is a liberal progressive true believer with strongly anti-American attitudes and policies. He's the equivalent to a Manchurian Candidate both in his rhetoric and actions. He basically wants to transform America into his delusional liberal progressive image.
