I liken it to the Dems being the mafia.

On the level of rank/file retards, you're spot on. But the brains behind everything, I don't think they see Trump as a disrupter so much as an opportunity to distract his supporters while the work of reengineering the country is going on. They relentlessly/unwarrantedly attack the guy from a dozen different angles to keep his supporters busy with outrage over how unjust it all is, all the while they reengineer the f'n country. Think about it - we no longer have free speech rights protected, a right to keep non-citizens from invading the country, a right to have our children taught as we prescribe, we've had all sorts of green shite foisted on a majority that does not support it, and the middle class/upper-middle class is having its wealth transferred to the classes above and below them ... and outside of some sniping on social media, conservatives don't gaf because we're focused on MAL, J6, etc.
