The opposition in Iran needs to be armed in order to have any chance to overthrow the regime. I doubt the Islamic Republic allows average citizens to own firearms. Without guns, they'll just be needlessly slaughtered. Hopefully, we have some plan to even up the playing field.
If we don't end the Islamic Republic now, we'll just have to periodically go back to eliminate their threat.

Marco Rubio and his Staff will be the only boots on the ground in Iran. To help them finesse the international details of their new government. And relationship to their benefactors US).
Of course we'll be keeping an eye on Israel as well. Their extreme 'Righties' will have to compromise as well.

I mean you kind of have to. You can’t decapitate the head of the snake and then leave the citizens to fend for themselves. You have to be prepared for the humanitarian side too and that means security for the citizens as well as the supplies that will need to be rushed into the country.

Whether you like it or not we have crossed the Rubicon here on this deal. The one thing that is not acceptable at this point is allowing the Iranian regime to stay in power. Whatever their plan is it must be carried through.

Imma guess this is for domestic defense.
No way in Hell they put troops on the ground in Iran. Even if leadership in the Arab world is actually OK with Jews taking on the Shiites, Islam is still the trump card for the masses in their countries.

We know you are praying for it and sometimes it must be done. But long term, a free Iran will solve a tremendous amount of problems regarding terror activity worldwide.
Short term, to achieve the solution, we must do whatever it takes to free Iran from terror. Personally, I can not wait until the FORD cvn backs out from that area and heads to the Caribbean to manage the cartels south of the USA border.

If you believe the intelligence (unknown because Trump did not share with congress before) then Iran was preparing to build a bomb “within days” to strike Israel. That would undoubtedly be a long war.
