Then you know how tiresome it is reading post after post of contradictions. You say you’re an actual conservative. Imo, the President deploying the military in this situation is not aligned with limiting government.

Yes it is and I have explained why, you have not debunked my counter at all on that point (nor even tried), yet you continue to (erroneously) make that claim.

Talk about tiresome.

If you want to continue to insist that, logically you would have to show that small government conservatives have argued that the federal government enforcing laws is not a legitimate function of government.

You haven't even attempted to do so (and we both know why).

Just saying something over and over again doesn't make it true. Small government conservatives being in favor of the government enforcing laws is not a contradiction. It's pretty much the definition of a small government conservative as opposed to an anarchist.

I answered the only question posed to me in this post.

LOL. Now do the previous 4-5.

I’ve mentioned this before but I don’t always have the bandwidth to respond to paragraphs and paraphrase in a single post and address each point or question.

We'll not even address the fact that you've done so before and just say fine, just answer one or two of the questions I've asked you to test your logic in this thread. The one you answered from the previous post was not a clarifying question or offered to test logic. Answer 2 or 3 of those.

Did Washington DC experience a catastrophic weather event that destroyed a significant portion of the city and rendered utilities nonfunctional? I somehow missed that.

Seriously.. what do you folks want??

Washington DC upping security has saved multiple Black Lives that you folks claim to be the only ones that matter. Well black lives are MATTERING. They are LIVING.

And you folks cry about it.

Meanwhile one black guy under heavy influence of narcotics dies under a police officer… and you folks excuse the burning and looting of cities.

And you folks cheer the “protests” becside we can’t have black people dying. And you build statues to that one guy:

Meanwhile… name ONE of that 100 plus you mentioned murdered in DC without looking them up. One. No cheating.

Seriously… WTF do you people friken want?? What?? Absent anything that has tried and failed before.

What???

You believe the most important job of the President of the United States is to enforce municipal laws?

No, that's the job of the municipality, but when the municipal system allows the commission of violent felonies and the state government also doesn't intervene, the lack of action then moves upward to the next level.

Are women not victims of violent crime in these cities?

Isn't Trump, in discouraging violent crimes, valuing women?

Didn't we just have a giant thread peppered with you—regardless of all evidence posted to the contrary—bemoaning society not valuing women?

Connect the dots for me. How is vastly reducing violent crime not a benefit to women?

The cops and extra police presence don’t bother me one bit.

That’s great. Being around strangers with machine guns does not make me feel safe, especially considering the mental health crisis within the military.

I'm convinced that she is a real woman expressing feelings thinly disguised as thoughts.

She just hates Trump. Anything Trump does has to be horrible. That's all that matters.

I doubt a small government minded person would ever consider someone would assume he would support the federal government interfering in municipal government.

You keep pretending that this issue is simply about the federal government “enforcing laws.” You know very well that is not the crux of this issue. That’s just the only way you can frame this to fit your narrative that small government types advocate for the federal government interfering with municipal affairs.

Right. Like you repeating that the federal government is simply enforcing laws and not exercising government overreach.

Thomas Jefferson was one of the biggest “small government” guys ever. Yet, he believed that one of the most important functions of the government is to protect the rights of the people. That’s how I view this.

So not “””literal””” tanks. Right? No turrets. No 50 cals. No tracks. No Tiananmen Square recreations. Just a friken armored vehicle.

And you know many municipal police forces have armored vehicles in their swat units.. correct?

All emotion. All the time.

Those are just local PD, not soldiers.

But in general I have a problem with the militarization of police around the entire country. All these guys looking like they’re about to invade Fallujah bothers me. You can do you job just as effectively with a professional looking uniform.
