And goes on to state that the states shall conduct their own elections.

People say the system is broken. It isn’t. The system is doing exactly what it was designed to do. The Republicans are controlled opposition and the Democrats are the ruling party. Right now the system is being hijacked by Trump.

It is clear as day that Congress can pass a law requiring Voter ID and not violate the Constitution. In fact, the Constitution explicitly grants Congress the power to alter a States "time, place, and manner of holding elections"

The federal government has some control. For example, it's federal law today that forbids proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections. Seems logical it could reverse that with a new/superseding law.
I think congress has the power to regulate certain aspects of federal elections, including standards for identification. I think it already has for first-time voters who registered by mail, by the way.

His hardcore base invented a Trump that doesn’t exist and they refuse to acknowledge it.

I would think that federal elections requiring an ID could be a federal law.
Whatever you do in your own state, fine
Would most likely need a Constitutional Amendment. States control processes in federal elections.
Technically, states don’t even have to hold an election for President.

Why won’t they
‘Cause they are as corrupt and crooked as the dems. The whole “conservative Christian” spiel from most, not all, but most republicans is a LARP to get votes and thus personal power and wealth from the State.
Just like when a black dem tells his constituents “ if you vote republican you’ll be put back in chains or jim crow is coming back”. Very few of those black representatives actually believe that BS , but it is a useful story to sway the idiot masses.

James Woods is certifiably cuckoo. So there's that...

Again, no. The founders were very adamant about not yielding power to the federal government over things like voting laws in states.
It really is quite clear.
It really is quite clear.

I’m never voting Democrat, that’s for sure because they are clearly mentally unstable.
And now I’ll not vote Republican again because they are useless.
Looks like I’m not voting anymore.

I will trust the clear language of the U.S. Constitution over a blog posted by the NCSL.

I came to that conclusion years ago when they trotted out John McCain and Mitt Romney after W. Trump has been the only President in our lifetime to even attempt to fix things and he is challenged at every turn by Republicans and supposed Republican voters. They are useless

Correct. All of them insider trade so I'll state that up front. Dems tend to funnel money through ngos and other organizations where they basically buy votes with free shite and get repaid with donations. Reps steer contracts to family members and donors for kick backs but they don't get credit at the polls.

Outside of civil issues which only arose from constitutional amendments, states have pure authority. The way the founders wanted.

Another person who failed civics.
Congress can’t do a fricking thing without a Senate supermajority or a compromise bill.
How are so many people so fricking stupid?
