We can't get to net-zero with John Kerry flying around on private jets and air conditioning his many houses. You first, John.

I’m a southern farmer. I’ve never voted Democrat.

I don’t need or want your sympathy.

Maybe southern farmers differ.

The Heinz family hasn't owned the company for quite a while.

Hard to think of a more useless person who has still managed to succeed in being a pain in the arse of humanity.

Man. frick this guy!! frick his climate bullshite, it makes as much sense as all this trans insanity.
If we let these idiots confiscate farms due to carbon emissions... we are doomed.
Does he think he's in China or North Korea? Americans have rights, we have a Constitution the Federal Government can't just seize property for no good reason.
Didn't he predict we would all be wiped out by now? He is the Czar of bullshite.

Mrs. Heinz-Kerry got up this morning in a rage. She wants to know where her company is going to get their tomatoes for catsup.

I used to work for Heinz in the early 2000's. She and him have no relation to the company. Full stop.

Her first husband, John Heinz was a Republican senator who died in a plane crash. He was the last of the Heinz family to be associated with the company before he went into politics. Ever since his death the family has blocked any access that she could have to the company. Ultimately, Heinz is a publicly traded company where they have no seats on the board and from what I know no significant holding in the company. I was there when Kerry was running for president, they wanted to visit the company and were denied access to both the US and World headquarters.

She is the head of the Heinz endowments, which is a family led org outside of the business.

Feel good that you can still enjoy Heinz products.

He means the small farms that raise enough meat and vegetables they are self sufficient and can tell big meat and big produce to F off. Can’t have uncontrollable people out there.

You have to think their long terms plans will be to nationalize agriculture through increasing regulation.

The climate change emergency might be the justification.

The main product of that process would be hunger.

Thanks for the info...but with that said before I feel good about Heinz...how DEI/ESG Woke are they now?

I'm a ketchup fanatic, but don't buy Heinz because of what I thought was the Kerry connection, that you just cleared up. But not going to change just back to find out they are woke crazy. Obviously I get it from food places, but not if I have control.

As far as how woke they are today, I'm sure they are playing the same lip-service that every other large company has. I know that they traditionally have been VERY careful about taking any sort of stand. That said, I'm sure you'll find the same DEI statements that every other fortune 500 companies post. Even then, they try to be more quiet about these things. You won't find them making any moves like Bud Light, too divisive for them. As for what they do in the future, who knows?

The board as far as big companies go is pretty conservative with some members being very religious South Americans. Anything that divides a segment, they're not particularly interested in; at least traditionally anyway.

Funny how every facet of what has made America a strong nation is being targeted and decimated by its "leaders". Feels a bit organized, really.

Funny how every facet of Democrat governance calls for Communism and marxism.

Because farmers aren’t already being driven out of business fast enough by fuel costs and inflation.
