The problem with this assertion it's a statement that assumes Trump is on the ballot.
Even when endorsed by Trump, candidates cannot get the same turnout enthusiasm as Trump can when he is on the ballot.
Democrats have a higher floor in terms of getting people out to vote. They are much better organized at the ground level than the GOP. But they have a lower ceiling because they suck on the issues.
The key to the midterms for the GOP is getting people out to vote.

The people have picked sides on Trump years ago. There are a few of the soft-headed centrists who drift this way and that due to their perception of their own economic situation. That’s about it. Everyone has known this for years…except you, I guess.

I agree. I just don’t think it’s gonna move the needle much for the midterms when all the wine wives who don’t have anything better to do on a Tuesday go out and vote based on their estrogen fueled empathy.
