Is there anything about Covid that’s been accurate and/or not over-hyped?

I think everyone is missing the elephant in the room. “They” said the vaccine would lessen the symptoms of Covid. Somebody please explain how that is remotely possible to figure out. And please think about it before answering.

It’s not providing that now. In real life data from Massachusetts shows an absolute risk reduction of less than 1%, around 50%, for mortality. More like 33%-50% for hospitalization and around 1.5%-2% in absolute risk reduction.

It’s just a shell game. Then when that’s proven wrong, they’ll have another fall back position.

That is certainly true. Here is the evidence from Texas.

Do you need more evidence? From the CDC.
And the Mayo Clinic. Also from FoxNews. The former President and his family have been vaccinated.

That doesn’t address the question asked.

Well, that's just a medicine then, not a vaccine.

Have we ever "mandated" people take certain medicine?

Well of course we have, yes we have required vaccinations. Look at your own medical history, you were vaccinated in order to go school. And our military vaccinates our soldiers.

In fact, General George Washington inoculated his Army: "Finding the smallpox to be spreading much and fearing that no precaution can prevent it from running through the whole of our Army, I have determined that the troops shall be inoculated. This expedient may be attended with some inconvenience and some disadvantages but yet I trust its consequences will have the most happy effects. Necessity not only authorizes but seems to require the measure, for should the disorder infect the Army in the natural way and rage with its usual virulence, we have more to dread from it than from the sword of the enemy."

How do you tell people it lessens the symptoms? It apparently effects everyone differently, hence the people with no symptoms yet test positive. If you give a person Covid as a trial run, then give them a vaccine, and then Covid again to see how the vaccine helps, well they already have natural immunity so what is the vaccine doing??? There’s literally no way to gauge how symptoms will be in anybody until they get the virus.

Third paragraph. It is still providing 90% effectiveness at preventing hospitalization and death even after 6 months.

In other words, no the vaccine hasn't stopped working.

Don't confuse the inbreds with facts.

Serious question-

So is this "vaccine" basically like a flu shot?

It was designed for the original variant and did its job, but now is basically useless against future variants?

I think the vaccine was beneficial in the beginning, but like seasonal flu shots, each year it needs to be tweaked.

Am I correct in thinking this?

The shot makes your body produce a spike protein and then attacks it.

That is the main problem.

Usually vaccines use a modified live or "dead "virus

The body makes immunities for 100s of the protein chains that make up the virus.

But with this "vaccine" you body only builds a response to the spike protein.

That is why it doesn't protect for variants that well.

We were in a war.

Big difference between war time and peace.

Not to mention the fact that George Washington WAS NOT a General for the United States since that didn't even exist at the time.

Remember he was the General of the Continental Army.

Playing with a rattlesnake you find in the woods is free...you might also get some thing from it, like entertainment to cure some boredom...does that mean you should do that too?

No it's not, it's an experiment that so far is failing miserably. I really couldn't tell you if the flu shot is a true vaccine or not because I've never considered getting one so haven't looked into the 'science' behind it

Well I guess I’m in trouble.

I’ve had both the flu shot and the COVID booster in the last 3 weeks.

I know. I know. How am I even still alive, right?

I’m sure it’ll all be over soon.

I’m not sure which is more entertaining on here. The fake doctors/scientists or the fake lawyers.

I don't think we can compare vaccines with an extensive testing and control history with one that was thrown together. Not valid right off the top.

Oh that's the ticket...you can't have a truthful nor valid opinion unless you have credentials...even if you did research and formed your opinion directly from Doctors, for example? So why not just apply this line of thinking to criticizing politicians if you haven't been one...or back off criticizing a rogue teacher teaching your kid some bullshite because you have never been a teacher before?

Or a healthy immune system by living a healthy lifestyle.

People STILL forget it has a death rate in healthy people under seventy of nearly zero.

Add in obesity and it goes up a bit, but still very low.
