That's a PR stunt. There are no parties in Keeef.
I skim through Ukrianian hoe blogs on updates. There's no "parties" anywhere.

Helluva party! This is what people need to watch. Vlogs of people who live in an area and post for a long time. You get a good gist of what's really happening without much spin. Ukraine is very fricked, especially big cities.

@cypher
Can I interest you in one of these. Can warm up in one if you sleep in it inside your home, and don't have to go to the outdoor portapotty/communal shitter. Send me your address.

We should since most of neocuck establishment along with all Dems funneled our money to the savages while claiming they were "European" and "Western".
To me that has nothing to do with the merits of whether to fund them or not.
Yeah it's a typical propaganda tactic to make a group of people relatable when you're trying to manipulate your populace into supporting assisting that group of people. But it has nothing to do with it being a good decision or not.
There was a lot of propaganda created to try to convince the US population that getting into WW2 was a good idea, and it very much turned out to be.
As much as a despise all forms of propaganda, and have been very vocal about how much we are being fed on Ukraine, we can ignore the noise and look at the merits of the issue independently. Whether these people are European or not is just noise.

My position is not to meddle or support anyone who we do not understand or have much in common with. Trying to thread a needle of "enemy of my enemy" has never really worked. This is what happened with funding Mujaheds in the 80s against USSR and funding "freedom fighters" in Libya/Syria that turned out to be ISIS. Cost taxpayers trillions in the end, and didn't make anyone "safer", and maybe that's the goal.
Yes, the Mockingbird media complex is always trying to sell the populace on how "group xyz" is just like you and you should like them, but most of the time it's a complete lie and you should care about it. I want to know that the Syrian ISIS guy is a just a terrorist dressed in a suit, because it tells me how full of shite our foreign policy still is. The guy was a wanted terrorist 2 years ago and now we should welcome him as a respectable leader we love doing business with. C'mon. I believe in realpolitik model for the world, but there are limits to it. Some people you cannot do business with because it leaves you with no moral or common sense credibility.

IMO giving up land Ukraine controls currently will cause long term instability there. The decision will divide the country into factions and ultimately make it weaker long term.
The US position is understandable. Trump wants the credit for ending this and knows Russia won't stop unless they have a really big carrot dangled in front of them. The sticks so far aren't working.

Progress being made. Notice Rice is talking directly with Hegseth (and with Colby as the two are joined at the hip). It seems the White House has not only told Hegseth to take the meetings, but have also told the Ukrainians that if they can convince Hegseth, the missiles are theirs. TACO just wants separation from the decision.
Knowing this, it is just a matter of time. Besides, the way things are going with this Cabinet, Hegseth may shortly need all the help he can get.

Updates on Tomahawk missiles:
How quiet pressure is unfolding over supplying Ukraine with America’s longest-range missiles — Kyiv Post.
At the center of this initiative is Dan Rice, President of the American University in Kyiv and former special adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This week, Rice held a face-to-face meeting with U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, which Rice described as a “broad and comprehensive discussion” covering both the war and his personal experience in Ukraine.
Rice, who previously played a significant behind-the-scenes role in securing U.S. approval for the transfer of cluster munitions and ATACMS ballistic missiles to Ukraine, now argues that the time has come for a far bolder step: transferring a small, undisclosed number of ground-launched Tomahawk cruise missiles, capable of striking deep inside Russian territory.
What he has disclosed is particularly notable: Rice directly asked Hegseth to provide Tomahawks even in a “limited, undisclosed quantity.” According to Rice, he is making the same request to every relevant official he meets in Washington.

That's why I think it's going to be defeated via exhaustion and attrition, and it won't be this year or next. Probably 2028-29. They'll still lose that land, but it'll be vastly more than Russia wants today and it's going to landlock them over the next 10-15 years. They have no economy or population base, and now they have no infrastructure either and nobody to really pay for it, even with those phone EU promises to rebuild them.
Afterwards Ukraine will be nothing more than a post-war brothel and perhaps that's for the better.

Ooops... Sorry Orban, our mistake.
Due to the possibility of a double-tap strike, the Ukrainians should only consider repairing this pipeline when it is safe. Like in October.

Russians kills couple in Sumy Oblast as they try to evacuate
Tetyana Oliynyk — 27 January, 18:25
Russian forces killed a civilian couple from the village of Hrabovske in the Krasnopillia district in Sumy Oblast during an attempted evacuation on 27 January.
Source: Oleh Hryhorov, Head of Sumy Oblast Military Administration; Sumy Oblast Prosecutor's Office
Quote from Hryhorov: "A couple from one of the border villages of the Krasnopillia hromada have tried to leave a dangerous area. The man headed towards a safer place, transporting his injured wife on a sledge.
During the movement, Russian soldiers attacked the civilians, knowing that they were civilians." [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]
Details: The strike killed the 52-year-old woman. A subsequent FPV drone strike killed her 54-year-old husband.
Hryhorov said that the couple could have been saved but repeated attacks had left them with no chance to reach safety.
