This thread is the dumbest yet on WFH and hours per week.

It's a great idea if you hate families, and think life revolves around some job you get just out of school.

go greet people at Walmart or something more your speed than labor law ideation.

Here's a crazy, small business idea... work as much as the job requires.

80 hrs a week is fricking ridiculous..
I hear Elon likes to work that long and more power to him but If you have to work that long to make a decent amount you’re in the wrong profession.

Glad I work for myself..

Working 80 hours a week does not seem very efficient.

80 hours a week then people will wonder why the educated/hard working class isn’t reproducing.

this is the OP's thought process:

Americans need to have more kids!

Kids need a stable home!

Kids need both parents in their lives!

Also: Parents need to work 80 hours a week!

There’s a happy medium between sitting at home with Netflix and weed and becoming Japan, working themselves right out of existence due to not starting families.

It sucks because our political climate is currently being directed into the one or the other stance. The problem is that even if the majority of people hate both, they’re going to be pushed into which one they hate less to beat the one they hate more.

Quit work and see how long you stay in your home.

Most progressives (like yourself) arent very competitive.

Elon has floated the idea of having people who work in the DOGE to work 80 hours a week. I think this would be a great idea across the board for young people under the age of 35.

You must never have been exploited by a sh!t company that only hired a$$holes as managers. I have. I was younger than 35. I should have walked out on the first day and still regret that I didn't, but most of my previous experience had been in the Government sector and I felt like if I left I would have great difficulty finding another job.

Now, I know that I could have left and done fine, because just about everything I have achieved professionally and technically I did on my own, including in that sh!thole.

Should I go back to the office once my work is done and sit around for 12 hours everyday and twiddle my thumbs?

Nope.

You should have more work to do for after lunch.

If I were your boss I would promote you and put you in charge of teaching the other guys in your office how to work as fast as you do, and then I would double their workload, since you're telling me that you only have have a day's work right now.

Actually, it's a pretty humungous task.

I don't know how they'll get it done in four years, frankly.
