That's wild. She just gave a little praise to the mayor a night or two ago and called him "the only Democrat mayor that has actually done right for the city he leads."

Probably more to the issue than meets the eye. As it stands from all of what we have seen, Jersey City left itself open to tons of liability here. Even if he had just said on X that he follows his sister, I'm not sure that would warrant him being fired even if he is at will....but he is at will. I don't know all of NJ employment law, but you would have to look at his classification like if he was 1099. But still this does not seem right given his statement that he does not necessarily support his sister's views

Today’s Progressive is not practical, he is ideological. He does not act in best interests, he acts out of what he believes is his values based obligation (his version of morality).
In his mind, it is his moral obligation to do it.
Progressive values are their religion, and they are committed.
