This is the truth. At least someone is being reasonable here.

The GOP can’t run a winning platform in 2026/2028 by cutting benefits to ACA recipients until the jobs Trump is trying to bring online in the private sector come online.

The populist/nationalist platform of right won’t win against the soft socialism of the DNC unless and until they can offer something of equal or better value.

The GOP has a very thin majority in the House.

I believe he is not a weak speaker, he’s herding cats and several are rebellious.

Rebellious, even ridiculous in some cases.

You’ll probably get your wish fulfilled in November when the Democrats flip the House.

Just look at who funds their campaigns

Mike Johnson doesn't need funds. All he does is put his name on the ballot and he wins by a landslide. Sometimes there is no vote because he runs unopposed.

Seriously?

The filibuster is for the Senate. Mike’s in the House. Go back to middle school.

They are not going to die on this hill (or ANY hill, ever), but they could at least get their hands a little dirty. How about a statement acknowledging the hill and explaining why the hill is there and why it is not a good hill. I guess it is too big for them to even think about trying to tackle. It's a fricking shame that there is no opposition party to the dems. The only return I have ever seen from my donations to the GOP is my in box and phone messages spammed multiple times each day with requests for donations - each one coming from a different email address or phone number. They are a fraud. They will say what you want to hear to get elected, with zero intention of follow through.

Johnson IS the replacement.

That's how fricked up the R's in Congress are.

I mean, they are not as bad as Democrats (who are led by Marxists) but because they LET, I emphasize "let", themselves be bullied by simple communistic verbiage they might as well be the same.

That’s a rather strong opinion and viewpoint, to which of course you’re absolutely entitled. But just out of curiosity, did you arrive at that conclusion only after having identified and considered any and all possible complicating factors that could potentially affect and impact the decisions and approach that the Speaker of the House must unavoidably consider in the process? Because I find that in many cases folks avoid that exercise because (1) it does, admittedly, take time and effort, and that can certainly be annoying (from personal experience), and/or (2) because they may well come across some thought or consideration which enters their mind that forces them to call into question their own original belief/position. Oftentimes that original belief/position is the product of knee jerking, perhaps coupled with a tinge of some variation of emotion.

Don’t be afraid to challenge your own assumptions and presumptions. I consider that advice for my own self as well….possibly even directed at myself more so than anyone else. All of the foregoing is purely opinion on my part, nothing more. I fully acknowledge that.

Fillerbuster...How you told the gas attendant to top off your car in the 1950's

Filabuster..an action such as a prolonged speech that obstructs progress in a legislative assembly

I was speaking in general. But you don’t need an opponent to have a campaign fund or PAC. He is bought and paid for like everyone else.
