While he won less than Obama did in 2008, it was not half the counties. More like he won 2/3ds.

54% 877 vs 473

Also, much like popular vote doesn’t determine the Presidency, neither does counties/parishes won.

Get with the times. Fake ballots determine president.

Your numbers are off for some reason.

Obama won 884 in 2008 and 707 in 2012
Biden won 558 in 2020

Hillary won 504 counties in 2016

More reasons to see how the cheat was in play....with almost all the margin in CA/NY, the swings make all the difference!

Actually maybe my numbers might be off.

I'm not sure where we're getting county data.

It looks like the meme was based off of this CNBC article.

LINK

quote:

President Donald Trump carried 2,497 counties

quote:

President-elect Joe Biden won 477 counties

The article was based on a Brookings Institution study. But apparently Brookings updated their study later on.

LINK

quote:

there are many more Trump-won counties than Biden-won counties (2,588 versus 551)

But the debate on how Biden could win with so few counties is easily explained.

In terms of comparing Biden v Obama, turnout was way up. Biden received more votes but so did Trump. Trump's totals have to also be accounted for when we're talking about percentages within a county and percentages of counties.

Do you want Los Angeles, New York and Chicago determining presidential elections?

I am not Albert Einstein, but that shite don't add up!

TRUMP carried 84% of all counties in the USA, and lost.

Einstein you ain't

Biden is winning the urban areas. for example, he could win say Los Angeles County and Cook County( Chicago) and Trump could win 50 rural counties that wouldn't equate to the population of those two counties.

To the people saying all those counties and land mass don’t matter …. If the shite ever truly hits the fan it will most definitely matter. The vast majority of Americans living outside of major metros are conservatives and I will also add people of Christian faith. They have the true power and just don’t know it.

That was never the argument.

The argument was how, compared to Obama, could Biden gain such significant numbers of votes while losing not only massive numbers of counties and almost all the key bellwether counties that have historically been the main pathway to victory.

Everything matters in these elections....you are correct.
How can people say counties don't matter? Counties make up the state, and the state holds the electoral votes!

Good people get the hell out of the nasty Blue cities for a reason.....they want a good life!

They were all geeked to vote for a geriatric honkey that wrote the 1994 crime bill that put their dad and uncle in jail. Makes perfect sense.

That’s just what people say because they can’t account for the anomaly. It’s called a straw man.
