I'm just about done with politics altogether. It's the exact same rinse and repeat shite over and over again. And even on this board, where I have come since 2016 for entertainment and the occasional blessing of feeling unalone in a woke world, now I check in and it's people who used to stand united fighting each other. Bunch of dick measuring contests and tribalism within tribalism.
You'd think Harris had won looking at this place right now, and I don't get it. Is it simply the reaction of the majority realizing what the few of us have known all along, that this shitshow we witness on a daily basis is just kabuki theater and that the two main "teams" ruling us are just the two sides of the same trick coin? Is it that everyone is realizing that whoever is in charge, we still get the same overall bullshite?
Look, Trump is a living, breathing gaffe-machine suffering from self-inflicted daily damages right now and he has pretty well pissed me off on several things in the past year. But he's done things that have greatly helped me with tax policy. He has completely shut down illegal immigration and made a huge dent in the import of illegal drugs. He has kept those campaign promises. If Harris had won, we'd have already allowed another few million invaders into our country and we'd be giving them more tax money and entitlements. SNAP would've been expanded instead of audited and reimagined. We'd be even closer to guerilla warfare than we are now. We'd have already sent troops to be physical boots on the ground in Ukraine.
Yeah it sucks and we're screwed but damn, it could be worse. Wish everyone could take a step back and stop acting lol ke a bunch of menopausal women with manic depression.
