No they cannot physically restrain an armed man without putting their lives in danger. And you are a monumental pos for suggesting they are obligated to forfeit their lives to save the life of a violent would be killer. Their job is not to get into a knife fight with nothing but their hands. And if a violent, insane criminal tells you he is getting a gun you'd better believe him. Justice was done here. To stop him I would have shot him in the legs but he forfeited that when he told them he had a gun in the car This sorry bastard did all this and put kids who were entrusted to him in mortal danger and they will never get over this.

Or forcing his kid to witness his violent knife wielding actions. Or getting drugged beyond reasoning in front of his kids. Or forcing a violent confrontation with his kids on the scene. Those children have no chance.

I don’t get it. Why do these black men refuse to cooperate with law enforcement? They have to know they are risking their lives when they resist and fight, much less go for their gun. Do they have a death wish? I just don’t understand and I’m sad that this keeps happening.

The only thing I disagree with is this.

I don't think they have a death wish, I believe they have just been so poorly raised and educated that they really have no respect for the value of human life, even their own. All they see from the time they are infants is gangstas hanging in the hood, hoes with they weaves and 3 inch long fingernails talking gibberish and blaming whitey for everything they don't have, while cashin' dem EBT cards at the local store. (Paid for by whitey for the most part).
That falls on their parent(s), and the cultcha of their community, which screams for equality, but wants to isolate themselves into groups who think this way, then blame someone else for their problems.
It goes back to the destruction of the nuclear family in black communities which started in the 1960's with kicking God out of society, and LBJ instituting the "Great Society".
For anyone willing to pay attention, black families had a higher percentage of two parent homes than whites until the mid-60's.
That falls on their parent(s), and the cultcha of their community, which screams for equality, but wants to isolate themselves into groups who think this way, then blame someone else for their problems.

he is 25 with a rap sheet, has kids, has knife out, refusing arrest...has warrant for beating his lady...
