Might as well eat drink and be merry then!

Hurry up. On Friday that store becomes 'the bank' for some people.

The reason why politicians don't care about the debt is if we bankrupt as a nation it will be the easiest way for them to get rid of that pesky constitution!

Nah....truth is that politicians don't win by running on austerity. They win on promising more. Whether it's more free handouts, more military, younger retirement, more vacation, etc...

Some politicians may actually care about doing the right thing, just not as much as they care about being in power.

I once had an economist explain to me that the debt doesn't matter. That this fact is unique to the United States because so many entities hold our cash, and we have shown a willingness to print money. Therefore, nobody will come calling for the debt, knowing that we will simply print money to pay them... thereby devaluing the very currency that they are hoarding. Not sure I buy it, but it makes sense.

Now it's cut taxes, cut taxes, cut taxes, E-X-P-A-N-D-I-N-G the deficit

Socialist democrats are idiots, and give me a headache.

Taxes are paid by people, idiot. Directly or indirectly, they are paid by people. Whether it results in increased cost of goods and services, or simply by not opening a new business or increasing the size of and existing business, or not buying that piece of machinery, or not remodeling, etc. People pay the taxes!

Cutting taxes doesn't spend a damn dime, idiot. If you want to do something about the E-X-P-A-N-D-I-N-G deficit, do something about the E-X-P-A-N-D-I-N-G spending! Do something about the ever expanding alphabet agencies of the federal government with no Constitutional mandate. Do something about the fraud, waste, and abuse of taxpayer dollars by those left after purging the extra-Constitutional ones. Then do something about the fraud, waste and abuse by citizens, scamming their taxpaying fellow Americans out of their money. Then do something about illegal aliens in this country, drawing government benefits, essentially stealing from the American taxpayer.

Once you've done all that, then talk to me about cutting taxes being the reason for expanding deficits. Until then, idiots should really keep their mouths shut!

No, he didn't.

And then went on to spend more than all other presidents combined.

Spending too much is what expands the deficit. Allowing people to keep the money they earn does not.

This can't be a rational thought.
