Dude, we think differently. I am in no way a Biden supporter. I do believe that you respect the office. That was beat into me when I served, and I’m grateful for it. In 4yrs we have a chance to replace the guy. Until then, when he does well, i will cheer. When he fricks up, i will respectfully offer constructive criticism. I will never be disrespectful to the office.

This had to be after Biden passed. Guys wouldn't be standing out in the road in onesies and twosies and different sized elements. There would have been a formation and they would have been at attention or parade rest when he passed. As soon as he passed they got an at ease and that is when the reports drove past.

I read it. It’s over, bro. Whether there was evidence or not (I believe there was), it was never allowed to be presented. Time to focus on the now and future, not the past. We can all belly ache over it and find ourselves in the same situation or we can focus on getting through whatever policies are enacted and finding a suitable candidate for 2024.

I like the way you think about it, but I disagree. I believe they wouldn't have been given an at ease command until every last vehicle in the motorcade has passed.

How do we even know this was the president’s motorcade? Or if it was, that Biden hadn’t already passed? Or if he hadn’t, that they had orders to keep watch in a certain direction while the other half had the opposite direction?

Again, I can't be certain about this, but I do believe from my time in service and having participated in a great number of stupid ceremonies, that they wouldn't have been given an at ease command until every car in the motorcade had passed.

Because this isn't how it works when the POTUS is passing by. You are to stand at attention and/or look in his direction at a 45° angle if you are marching past him. This goes back to the days of Caesar. It's a pass and review ordeal.
Every soldier there knew damn well their job was to stand at attention and look straight ahead while that motorcade passed by. Possibly with platoon leaders or COs standing out front rendering a salute, I would guess.
