1985 - McMahon wears an Adidas headband, fined $5000. Next week wears headband reading "Rozelle". The NFL has been a little fricky for longer than you're portraying.

Kaepernick has donated $1 million to various social justice charities over the last year. Pretty good for an unemployed guy.

What about all the other people that have protested? Or is it just him donating? You would think it would be lots more from the NFL, especially since they are still employed.

So tell me again how the NFL supports free speech and expression. It seems quite clear based on these facts that the NFL has taken a position against any action by NFL players demonstrating RESPECT for any issue:

No, the NFL enforces a strict uniform policy which players know and have chosen to ignore. I am pretty sure Peyton Manning got fined for wearing black cleats and socks to honor Johnny Unitas.

Tebow was never fined the NFL never had an issue with him praying. Back when celebrations were outlawed there was an exception for praying.

players should be fined for protesting perceived racial injustice

It's all BS, just like "hands up, don't shoot"

The USA is most certainly an Oligarchy now.

I did qualify it with the money comment, but I ask you to consider:

Isn't the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election proof that sometimes the people have a voice? I mean, the "oligarchs" wanted HRC - even many who are putatively on the right side of the political spectrum.

Whether you call it a voter "tantrum" or voter "rebellion" - certainly the folks vetoed the oligarchs' choice, wouldn't you agree?

You should sell one of those wheels back to Jesus in exchange for learning what 'disproportionate' means.

In my circles, most are tuning off the NFL, because of this issue.

As usual, your circles aren't the majority of the country. NFL games are still some of the most-watched television events we have.

Thanks, man. But I'm fine with that. I get along with the group just fine. I just can't drink with them like I used to.

. . . and just LOOK at what the Oligarchy is doing in response to the voters when they elect somebody who is not a part of the Oligarchy!

Yes. The US electorate rejected the Oligarchy's choice for POTUS. Watch and see. The Oligarchy will make sure that never happens again.

IMHO, we live in an Oligarchy, not a functioning Republic. I respect those who have a different opinion.

The fricked up thing, IMO, I truly believe now, that 95% of the players are no longer kneeling because of the original ‘cause’

Only two players knelt week one and it was absolutely for the original cause.

Considering less than half voted for the person who won, I'd say it's a terrible example.

Sorry you idiots don’t know how to play the game. Since this is a football thread....congrats on winning the time of possession. What’s the score?

Oh...and illegals are why he lost the popular. Everyone knows that.
