We know you don’t support the deportations which is why you post about the few mistakes that happen because nothing is perfect

I’m sure ICE just decided to go pick up some law abiding natives.

So living up here in SoDak and having had direct dealings with this specific tribe, Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe, ICE, just identify quickly the status of these guys and cut them loose back to the rez.

This isn't worth the bad publicity.

It never happened see p. 1 link

The only problem with this juicy news item was that it wasn't true.

ICE never even encountered any Ogala Sioux and never asked for an immigration agreement. The tribe only gave ICE the first names of the supposed detainees. It's not unreasonable to speculate that the entire "incident" was a publicity stunt, a set-up from the start.

“ICE did NOT ask the tribe for any kind of agreement; we have simply asked for basic information on the individuals, such as names and date of birth, so that we can run a proper check to provide them with the facts,” Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said.

I, like you, want all illegals deported without one single mistake being made.

We both know that to be impossible. Some mistakes will be made.

Are they making more mistakes than you thought or can stomach?

There is collateral damage with every law. That doesn't mean you stop enforcing the law.

So did the tribe adopt an immigrant or does ICE apologize and release and carry on its good works. Some would have ICE removed over one act of one of its members who makes a mistake. If everyone would calm down and let ICE do its work, this will be over soon and the country better for deporting illegals.

As previously stated multiple times, I wholeheartedly support the legal deportation of illegal immigrants. I do not, however, support the detainment or deportation of American citizens.

Arrested for what? Obstruction???

quote:

18 U.S. Code § 111 - Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees

(a) In General.—Whoever

(1) forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates, or interferes with any person designated in section 1114 of this title while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties; or

(2) forcibly assaults or intimidates any person who formerly served as a person designated in section 1114 on account of the performance of official duties during such person’s term of service,

shall, where the acts in violation of this section constitute only simple assault, be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both, and where such acts involve physical contact with the victim of that assault or the intent to commit another felony, be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both.

(b) Enhanced Penalty.—
Whoever, in the commission of any acts described in subsection (a), uses a deadly or dangerous weapon (including a weapon intended to cause death or danger but that fails to do so by reason of a defective component) or inflicts bodily injury, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.

(c) Extraterritorial Jurisdiction.—
There is extraterritorial jurisdiction over the conduct prohibited by this section.

If not for breaking the law I wouldn’t doubt the ones arrested were purposely vague about their status and limited with showing of IDs to create this situation to use just like this.

I think it’s time to invoke the insurrection act and flood area with troops to allow ICE to focus solely on its job and not have to do the job of the local police.
