I made a rather ill advised foray into the world of TDS by my unfortunate association with a guy, and I quickly came to realize that there is a strong mental illness component to it. If they have a thought, or a hunch, or just a wild thought, that makes it a FACT. Literal magical thinking. They project their shite onto him, and like some kind of unholy communion, they feel this cleanses them. And, while it horrifies critical thinkers, they are proud of it.
I’m not talking about people who call out Trump’s shite or think he’s a poor President or disagree on policy. I’m talking about the true TDS sufferers who are really struggling with objective reality and don’t realize it.

That’s impossible for someone who rightfully rails against law enforcement biases and excesses to believe. You want us to believe that the judicial branch is something impervious to human nature and corruption and using their power to coerce and target and destroy people. TDS is a mental illness. These people have been brainwashed into associating all things bad with a Donald J Trump no matter how much the evidence points elsewhere.
The interesting part is the commonality among them. It always appears to be afflicting people that have a lot of common traits. What are they so easily persuaded that Trump is the root of all evil to the point that they will actually support things that are evil.
