"Purge of qualified leaders"? He replaced a "qualified leader "who was in a hospital for a week & no one knew where he was and / or missed him. He also pushed policies dictating that the service academies not use words like "mother, father, male, female" etc. PH was also in the U.S. Secret Service, in the Presidential protection division. Not something a "stooge "would ever be found.
