Fox lost a lot of viewers over the last few years. If CNN pivots to the actual middle they could gain viewership. Losing Anderson Cooper has to happen for that though. There is some good talent unemployed right now such as Kathryn Herridge that they could bring in to show they are shifting to the middle.

CNN has a better chance of getting R. Kelly than Megyn Kelly. She has no plans of going back to corporate media. She likes being her own boss.
