That seems like a word salad. Sure, kids need two parents. And the political agendas of the left seem determined to make sure they don't have two parents. So I'm not sure how you conclude that politics are irrelevant to kids needing two parents.
As far as religion and politics—again, I'm not sure why this isn't obvious—but religion is where values are derived from and politics is where those values are reflected in society. That's why people can't just ignore them, and they aren't bullshite. They're pretty important.
I do agree that abandoning principle for populism is quite toxic and corrosive. We have a basis of agreement on that.

As for FEMA, this is nothing new & has nothing to do with funding. FEMA screwed N.O. 100 times over after Hurricane Katrina .Such continuous incompetence makes it evident it is just the perfect example of a Federal relief agency just not giving a shite. My sister lost both her business in the Quarter & her home in Metairie & it took her over a year, after 2 law suits & losing her business to bankruptcy before she was even close to being back where she was pre storm.
