I had an uncle who was a rough and tough cowboy, smoked camels non filter, if he couldn't find them he would break the filter off Marlboro reds.

He got a speeding ticket in California but never paid it so Ronald Reagan sent him a letter inviting him to never step foot in California again.

He had it framed hanging on his office wall for years.

He died the day after the Marvin "Killdozer" Heemeyer incident in Colorado which made that story a fart in the wind.

Do you remember what the documentary was called?

I'm sure being shot is something you just forget about after a couple of years.

The joke was that his dementia was coming on at that point.

I think you are analyzing this too much Pele.

I think whoever is pissed off at me pointing the clear factual error by OP are like irrational women who talk about "My truth". The truth is the truth. 2 months removed from an assassination attempt is not the same as 72 months. Sorry if the real truth stands in the way of a better story.

Teddy Roosevelt, I watched a documentary on him and his exploits are too long to mention here. He was a little badass.

I think his toughness came through best when he and his son went exploring alone in the Amazon jungles. Teddy fell and broke his leg. They were days away from civilization. He told his son to go on, he was ready to die. The son refused and made a crude splint out of fallen tree limbs to drag him on. They made it back. The son later committed suicide.
