That we will then have more than $20B to use on Americans after the money swap?

The MSNBC moron realized the same thing when Bessent patiently dissembled him.
I enjoyed the guy sitting next to the MSNBC host, looking at him like, "No coming back from that, dude"

He ended with a dagger through the heart.

He should be embarrassed trying to sell us on bailing out a foreign country being good for America.
I’m sure that America couldn’t have used that money, sure.
So you don't know what a swap line is either

Yes he is. That kind of talk goes right over their head and offers them no response whatsoever.

If I were a wise democrat (if there be such a critter) and had to debate Bessent, I think I'd just bow out - this guy is unflappable and he knows his stuff - qualities hard to beat.

Tell us you didn't listen to Bessent at all, without telling us you didn't listen to Bessent at all.

He dilated that MSNBC dude's bunghole.

The democrats shut down the government. You're dense.

Yeah, I loved his quick pivot by throwing it back on Bessent....who subsequently proceeded to school his smarmy arse.

I actually agree with the MSNBC anchor that sending large sums of money overseas doesn't do us any good which is why I look forward to his future segment on the perils and corruption involved with the piles and piles of money we send to foreign nations and groups where even if it went to where it's supposed to our return on said investment is extremely questionable

MSNBC is in good company with many erudite PT posters. The principled conservatives especially. They shouted bailout from the jump.

While I didn’t agree with the move I did enjoy educating the tds crew on here that this isn’t the same as a bailout.
