And in doing so, as opposed to simply enacting the tariffs legally, he gained what?

A bunch of confused cultists.

He's effectively out of time, so Plan B will be more of the same.

Trump knew it to. What is the outcome of this? You and others are already talking about it.

Everybody knows Trump has other ways to do this. Why did he choose this method first?

SHHH!!! You mean Trump "accidentally" preempted them?

Holy shite

No biggie. Just add "secretly a long-term play to shrink the power of federal government by forcing a ruling" to the list of goals for tariffs. Right next to "bring manufacturing back" and "make it cheaper to manufacture overseas"

That's not what he said. Obviously Trump wanted the opposite ruling, but he also knew it was a long shot (only the cult members didn't know that). But you don't know unless you force the ruling.

So you’re saying that testing the framework of constitutional and administrative law was the priority or goal? Is Trump moonlighting as a judicial clerk?

Seems inefficient given the short window he has to govern.

So, we can now expect prices to come down, dramatically, right?

Because tariff claims for why thing were so expensive were pretty common by companies.

Well?

It didn't shrink anything. It just failed to expand the executive power.

Finally, someone gets it. I'm not opposed to tariffs but its not POTUS's call.

That would be the question, because it only resulted in confusion and wasted time.

This stuff used to be called government just doing its thing. Now every ruling, announcement, policy suggestion, etc. is either a massive win, massive loss, conspiracy or attempt at authoritarianism/communism/facism, whatever, depending on what you predicted or hoped for.

Everyone needs politics to be a drama series these days.

This is the correct answer.

Lincoln did the same kind of stuff.

As a result, what does it protect the USA from?

Now had he won, What would it have forced congress to do?

Some people want to believe Trump is stupid and that he is surrounded by stupid people. He isn't.

The President's argument is that Congress gave the power to tariff to the Executive under certain conditions. Not that the President has the power to tariff without Congressional approval.
