I'm trying to see what they offer that isn't full tilt evil. I'm not even religious, but I'm going to call their antics and goals for what they are. Just contrarian to anything normal and evil. For no other reason than to be evil.

It’s primarily two directions and has been for centuries. Of course there are offshoots, but they are typically small. Even in European parlimentary systems, in which many parties exist, they still sort themselves into left and right wing groups for organizing governing coalitions.
ETA: Anyway, as I’ve posted before, I think of the political spectrum as more of a circle, with the left wing nuts and right wing nuts sitting cheek to jowl at the bottom.

So we should just disregard the totalitarian and libertarian directions alltogether?

Totalitarianism is the far left. Only the far left implements totalitarianism because only the far left places such importance upon what its subjects think. Communism often becomes totalitarian in its implementation. Their subjects are punished for what they think, as evidenced by what books they might have read, for example.
Libertarianism, in its true form, is a small dead end on the right side of the spectrum. In its practical form, libertarianism is just part of the right wing spectrum - to the right of most voters but to the left of the right wing autocrats.
