I think it's kind of amazing that people have now been going in to stores for at least a year seeing very unusual lack of inventory patterns and, nobody seems remotely concerned.

Sure. The current inventories still allow for me to have many alternatives at the grocery store and other retail outlets. But, I'm savvy enough to realize that if you can have pervasive shortages at this level, you can have pervasive shortages 2-3 levels worse!

Dont worry, Brandon will be in office soon and shut down this virus instead of tweeting all day.

I am concerned. Ive basically just been eating chicken and veggies because they are rarely are out of chicken and thighs are cheap.

Ill go take one look at the ground beef price and just say pass.

People genuinely don't realize just how little has to go wrong for them to find themselves in the grocery store with empty meat cases.

I have not seen any shortages since I moved out of California a year and a half ago.

Grant it, I moved to Bentonville, hone of Walmart. You would think Walmart would keep this area well stocked.

Canned food, have 3 months on hand now.

Canned food unopened can last up to 20 years, up to 10 it still tastes reasonable.

Many do not. Many of us do...we're the ones stocking up on ammo.

Don’t know how the TP folks are doing, but if you have enough labor issues to not fully staff shifts, it takes about 2wks before you start shorting customers. Customers take about 2wks to start running out of stock.

If this doesn’t improve, mid Feb will be interesting. If folks that implemented the OSHA mandate are even worse, then that’s a compounding factor

Months ago the checkout lady at Publix Al said that they most likely will have shortages on things you would not expect like toothbrushes and toothpaste

I have a special needs son that monthly are constantly short on or not available for days after a order. I cannot order early as it’s a prescription item .
If it is enteral nutrition, it is a mess right now. That is a rule that the feds should fix, forget the order and receive dates and get it when you can. The provider cant send to you till a certain date, and they cant get it.

But no, we got them worried about who is wearing a mask in a restaurant and who got a shot.

Rubbish. There's a new variant in France now, and from what I hear, it's a real humdinger.

Great.

Nothing exacerbates a shortage like yelling, "Hey everybody, start panic buying!!1!"
