Fine then have a small ground component for extractions.
First of all, the ground component won't be small. It will have to be quite large. As I said before, this is Russia, who has a large, near-peer military; not a Middle East shithole. Even if we were to deploy a small ground force, Russia would consider it a declaration of war and attack us.

Also like I mentioned in another thread there’s always drones.
Again, if they catch us using drones - which they will - it will be a declaration of war to them.

But the part about attacks on US soil is absurd - the only modern successful attack on the mainland has been 9/11 which was from the inside.
Because we haven't been in a war with a nation-state capable of attacking us. Sound logic, though.
You seem to be grasping for a middle ground that doesn't exist. There are three options. (1) Do nothing; (2) funnel weapons to Ukraine [Biden's current pick]; or (3) fully commit to a war against Russia.

I’m all for Ukraine winning this but I doubt Putin will idly sit by while we add more arms to the battle against his forces.
Are you for sanctions against Russia?
If so, that too would bring about some repercussions from Russia.
So “yes”, while I support sending weapons to Ukraine, I do so with the realization that Russia will react negatively.

I think being very careful not to actually enter Russian territory would constitute such a middle ground. Russian assets would only be destroyed if they enter Ukraine and our assets will stay out of Russia.

Hell no. Although I think Putin’s ultimate goal is to try and drag us into the conflict somehow

No. Tired of being the world police for nations that hate the US anyway.

No. But I sure want to see US and western munitions and weaponry make way into the theatre.

The democrat’s army known as Antifa, yes.
Our military, no.
Our military, no.

They don’t need American troops. Ukrainians hate Russians and this will not go well for Russia.

We don’t have to send troops but we gotta send physical aid to the Ukrainian people. I feel like we also need to enforce a no fly zone only over the western portion of Ukraine for “humanitarian support” of course!
