bruiser Brody killed there

Died because they have shitty hospitals. He was wheeled into waiting room w a stab to chest. Took forever to get him to hospital.

Then, Tony atlas and Dutch mantel got subpoena to testify after case went to trial which allowed invader(stabber) to go free.

PR is a shite hole.

We got Puerto Rico from Spain as a result of the Spanish-American War. We acquired the Philippines the same way.

On July 4, 1946, we granted independence to the Philippines. I think we ought to do the same with Puerto Rico. They need to be a free nation rather than a US territory, and most certainly should be granted independence rather than bringing them in as the 51st state.

I would much prefer American Samoa be our 51st state over Puerto Rico.

Bottom line - We don't need another perpetually impoverished state added to the union just to hand over three more seats (2 senate and 1 house) to the Dems.

There is a mighty wealthy constituency of very rich people living there and raking in the tax benefits. Something like 4% federal income tax. That would be wiped out if it was a state

No and neither to they. They enjoy lots of privileges they would lose if a state

frick no. I don't even want them as a territory
Agreed. All we need is a naval base and an airstrip there, but we could lease those even if we had to do it at gunpoint. It would end up being a bigger welfare state than Mississippi or New Mexico.

Hell no!
The most corrupt electrical system in the territories. Inefficient as hell.
My first task was to collect an overdue bill for transformers. $750,000 past due. Spent a week before sitting down with the board and obtaining 14 signatures for the check. Worst grid I’ve ever seen. Each time a new Governor is elected they seat the entire family to run the store. It’s not worth the pain and headache to deal with the corruption. Small wonder some of island still lacks power after the hurricane.

Almost HALF of their population is on SNAP benefits, which we already pay for....state-hood would be a STRONG NO from me !
