They say they hate the government, but what they really mean is they hate one party of government. Obama did something "hate the government", Trump does the same thing "Love the government".

These are just excuses for cowardice.
I notice you won’t discuss the merits of why there’s a two-party dynamic in this country.
Just lazy knee-jerk “hurr durr if those cowards would just vote third party we’d have a third party hurr durr”

How about vote NO PARTY instead of 3rd party? Candidates that answer to no except the voters?
Also, do you all realize that 3rd party/No Party candidates would pull votes from both R’s and D’s? Many, many centrist dems are just as unhappy as R’s.

So now you’re just playing semantics?

It would never be equal. Any third party: (1) WILL take more votes from one than the other, and (2) WILL ensure that the other major party wins easily with a plurality of the votes.
It has never happened any other way in this country, and won’t in the future either for the reasons I’ve already posted.
Our system of elections and government will always result in two ideological poles at the expense of the middle. That’s the system we have. We’ll have to change it if we want something different.
Go ahead, start some conservative-ish third party. Make it popular and compete with the GOP for the same half of the vote. Then watch Democrats win southern and Great Plains states and West Virginia etc because your new party and the GOP split 60% of the vote while the Democrat took 40%.

I hate the media and I am not one to hate. Unfortunately, the democratic party is in bed with the media.

Trump is the 3rd party choice.
Yes the:
2 Time Nominee of the Republican Party
That was a Republican President
That is leading in the current Republican Party primary by 40 points
That handpicked the Republican Speaker of the House
That handpicked the Head of the Republican Party
is "3rd party"
Are you familiar with the word "nuance"?
Apply it when you read TrueTiger's post again.
If Trump announced as a "3rd party" candidate, his campaign would've been over before he got to the bottom of that escalator. Look what they did/are doing to him with an (R) next to his name.

It has nothing to do with math - it's about the cowardly refusal to vote for something other than a D or an R.
"Math" is why we still have Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. "Math" is how you get the supremely retarded members of our society, like Joe Biden, to be in DC for half a century.
"Math" is not how you take back control of your country. Voting is how you take back control of your country.
The Leftists do not vote for random extremists like the Communist, Green or Socialist party candidate anymore. They've infiltrated the Democratic Party, and successfully taken over the leadership and platform. If you don't believe me, go back and look at 2016; for a brief moment, they trotted Bill Clinton out to campaign for Hillary. Her spouse, and a 2-term president who was popular... sounds like a fairly good idea, right?
Well, they had to shelve him pretty quickly, because he started getting in loud arguments with... her supporters. Getting shouted down.
This group votes enbloc, it doesn't splinter off, and the Dem party pulls enough casual mainstream voters who haven't paid attention, that they're a threat to win any election. Look at who we have as Louisiana's governor.
The only way you defeat that, is to provide a monolithic opposition during the big elections. Voting 3rd party is virtue signalling. It does not promote change, because it's only going to hurt Conservatives at this point (the Liberals don't do it anymore). You might argue that it will force the Republicans to reset, but it allows the Dems to get so entrenched that options will be written out of the equation.
We now have a President who is opposed to the petrochemical industry: gasoline cars are being attacked, lots of gas powered lawnmowers are being phased out. Honda (the best small engine maker) has quit the lawnmower business. Natural gas is also under attack, so your heater, water heater, and oven/stove is also being chopped. We as a society are being forced into 1 option only, the "grid", for most of what's elevated us past the 19th century.
You frick around too long going 3rd party, and these things are will be set in stone, and we won't be able to go back.

An independent has a hard time winning because so many people vote by the party affiliation. Trump showed how to win with out being a politician. If he ran as a independent he would have never won the general election .

If there were ever a serious third party candidate whose views aligned with my own, I would strongly consider him. The only guy in my lifetime (and I was 4 months old when he ran) who fits this is Ross Perot and he did actually get a lot of votes.
Gary Johnson nor the Ecoterrorist-de-jour will get my vote

So basically you are too cowardly to stand up against the party system.
Got it.
So casting a vote that will make no difference is "standing up to the two-party system?"
O.k.

No, actually. I've wasted my vote on an independent candidate in the past.
