Truth = deflection?

Who knew

If you care about words so much, then maybe practice what you preach or at the very least dont get mad when the tables are turned.

There’s a clear path to not get shot whilst carrying a brand new pistol when you are at a protest that includes interfering with law enforcement.

Lol. When you answer another question with a question about something else it’s deflection.

I can’t tell Jack shite from any of that Zapruder-like hocus pocus. We know that the dude had a loaded gun, was raising hell, and obstructing justice in an atmosphere already cranked up to 11.

What on God’s green Earth does any one expect to happen?

Also, if I were a degenerate gambler, I’d wager real money that this dude winds up being way less than desirable…

The state will/might try. It was a federal agent on duty following the book.

There's no case.

No, it's pointing out your blatant hypocrisy clutching your pearls over a term your side still calls a whole group of people

Possible scenario:
Agent yells gun as the other agent pulls it out. Agent doesn't realize that's his buddies hand, he's just focused on that gun with a hand on it. When the gun comes out, he thinks it's the guy wearing it.

The current title to the thread that you started is: Stabilized zoomed in slow motion version of the shooting

Providing a blind link to esp. reddit in my book without context is, well, stupid.

The entire conversation should be focused on why on earth do ICE agents have to control these idiots to begin with? That’s where the conversation should start

In most jurisdictions, this is an affirmative obligation when encountering LEOs acting in that capacity.

Eh. That’s not going to be the defense.

They still have to be performing their duties legally, which gives it a shot.

It's probably not likely, but possible.

Officers were in a physical struggle with an armed suspect when a gun was perceived and the word “gun” was shouted. Under settled self-defense law, officers are entitled to rely on fellow officers’ reasonable perceptions. They do not have to personally confirm the threat.

Once a firearm appears during active resistance, the legal standard is simple: reasonable perception of imminent deadly force. That standard was met here. Freeze-frame activism doesn’t override real-time dynamics, and the law does not require officers to wait to be shot. This was a tragic—but lawful—use of force.

This will certainly be the defense.
