It's rooted in "Angertainment" of far right conservative media. They have weaponized anger, hate, and distrust. The left biased media has it's fair share of propaganda, but it would be disingenuous to compare the two straight across the board.

Don't be disingenuous. Any media source that uses fear/hate/anger as the "selling point" to push conservative narratives could be considered "far right". The same could be said for "far left" using the same tactics to push extreme liberal narratives. I would love nothing more that to be able to go back to civil debate, without resorting to personal attacks, i.e. groomer, cuck, beta, fascist, marxist, pedo, etc... just because someone else has ideas or reasonable beliefs that don't harm others. There is zero beneficial reason to seek joy in trying to "trigger" someone. All that does is increase the divide in the country. We need to grow up and return to civility. We all can peacefully coexist together.

Very pleasant exchange. I am unconventional. I enjoy doing awesome things and going to awesome places. I appreciate that you have such strong feelings about my choices. I have not wasted all my resources, rather I have quadrupled then since my divorce, made sure my kids have everything they need. I just paid a $700 sorority bill, and car notes, payments, walking around money etc. Oh and my daughter loves my Venezuelan girlfriend.But just say anything vile that comes to mind.
We had a great time at the game yesterday btw, and they were amazed at the atmosphere. While you typed vile insults, I hung out with friends and they got to experience Tiger Stadium and tailgating. It was easily a top five day of 2022. Just phenomenal. My daughter said it was “ the coolest thing ever “ “this is making my heart explode” and “ you’re doing a beautiful thing” . No I started the thread because dozens of these people are my friends and I wanted to share a rather unconventional take on how illegal immigration can be personalized. And being a border wall Conservative who was on the Trump train before anybody here, I thought it would be interesting to them and to our resident Progressives. And what I found was that rather than read what I actually said, critics spun it in the least flattering way, made it INCREDIBLY personal, deconstructed my happy and fulfilling life to be prurient and despicable, and said things about me and those around me that have no relationship to the truth. As I write this we are on our porch drinking coffee and life is beautiful. A little Pura Vida right here in the BR .
